My son's girlfriend was hit by a red-light runner. She was driving without insurance or current registration. The other vehicle suffered minimal damage. Can she file a claim with the at-fault's insurance? Phoenix, AZ

Ok, heres the situation. I'm 16, i drive a 1988 Porsche 924S, and i pay like $150/mo for liability. Few days ago i wrecked my car at school. i took a turn too fast, hopped a curb and went thru a fence. I'm pretty sure the car is totalled since parts are so expensive for that car.

Here's the thing. Nobody was hurt, and cops came, but they didnt file a report and i wasnt charged with anything. I havent told the insurance company yet though because i don't know my options. If i told them i totalled my car, will they give me what its worth? Will they do anything? should i just sell it to a junkyard and cancel my insurance?

I had a minor accident in my condo's (Toronto, Canada) parking lot. My parking spot is at the corner of driveway and is adjacent to a wall. I was backing up slowly by applying brakes intermittently. On my right side (behind the wall) another car was coming and the driver was supposed to take right turn in order to come on driveway behind me. the driver of the other car had a view of my side through a convex mirror. As I was rolling back slowly the other car just sneaked in and my car hit the right indicator of that car. we din't report it to the police as it is a really a minor damage on the other car and we may come to a mutual agrrement. whereas my car needs no repair job as such. Building security was called in order to witness the situation. But I am not sure if its really my fault and I should pay for the damage. Please advise.

I'm 23 years old and going for my Behind the Wheel test at the Hawthorne DMV in Torrance on Monday. My question pertains to that of needing insurance. What I wanted to know is do I (as the person who is going to be taking the test. Right now I have no insurance on myself whatsoever.) need to have any type of insurance before I take the test, or does the car itself have to be insured? Right now my mother wont let me use her car for this test, but a friend of mines who is insured is letting me use his (he'll be going with me when I go to take it. What I wanted to know, would this be enough to allow me to take the test, or do I literally need to be under the vehicle insurance to be able to use the car for the test itself? I was looking at the question posted here

And it seems that as long as the vehicle is insured, then there is no problem, but I wanted to get it all cleared regardless.

Thanks to whoever can answer

I ask this as there are a large number of untaxed cars in my area and the police will do nothing about it as they say they have to see them parked on a public highway. The DVLA cannot trace these cars as they are not registed to the same address as the keepers/owners. I do not wish to see someone killed and then find the insurers will not look after their family - assuming these scum have insurance of course.

I recently backed out of a parking space. I did look both directions, I just took my foot off the break did not apply the gas, rolled about 4 feet and hit the left rear fender of a car that was behind me. When turning in the accident report I found out that my insurance had been cancelled in Sept of 2005.for non-payment. I have been insured with the same company for about 40 years. Only one other accident. Last year I hit some black ice and skidded into a barrier. No other car was involved. Damage to my car ended up around $3000.oo Has anyone had the same situation happen to them?

If you were to claim a broken windshield or a hood replacement does the insurance company send someone to look at the car first then pay out to the body shop? I know for accidents they send out a adjuster but is it the same case with broken parts such as windshields, mirrors etc etc? Anyone know?

I lost the proof of insurance with my one vehicle on it, but have the stub from the other vehicle. The policy number is the same. Can I just send the other stub with my check to the county to get my window sticker or are they going to pitch a fit about it?

My car was parked at a park and some *** drove into back of my car while i was away. My car is chrysler cirrus 1997 and fairly mint condition. Insurance company says that it costs more to fix my car than its value and said they want to pay me $4,000. Fine, my car wasn't new but it was doing its job well and i feel that $4,000 is not enough for me to buy any decent car like mine. I am furious. Any suggestion??? I am not familar with this. Please give me some suggestions!!!

I'm tired of seeing it and hearing it. Seems like I can't go 5 minutes and he's either on the TV, radio, or advertising billboard. How much money is Geico spending on ads? Obviously, they don't need to make any more money off of me.
