NO you won't lose your no claims because it was not your fault. However, consider protecting it to be absolutely sure and for peace of mind. You should see your doctor for a physical ASAP or go to A&E. If you are suffering flashbacks and poor sleep/eating also advice your GP accordingly.

You are virtually guaranteed a minimum of £1000 compensation for neck/chest/whiplash pain. In addition you are entiltled to compensation for being off sick at work and losing unsocial hours (if you get that at work). If you used taxis/buses/hired a car you can also get compensation for that.

Consult a reputable Accident Lawyer for further details on a no win no fee basis. Alternatively, claiming via the other driver's insurance compensation department may be better. This cuts any middle men and usually resolves the matter speedily provided there is a clear and unambiguous admission of fault.

You shouldn't! If a driver hits you from behind it is enirely THEIR fault, but the best way is to get protected no claims. Unfortunately some companies need a minimum of three years no claims before they will even consider protectoin and then they will charge a small amount for this privilige. Hope you are OK by the way!

you are supposed to inform your insurance company of all accidents, certainly those incvolving another vehicle, provided the guilty party - the car that hit you - is insured and admits liability then all costs will be payable by their insurance company. Even if your insurance company pays for repairs to your car, and then retrieves the money from the other driver, you won't lose your no claims.

If they are not protected (under 4 years) - yes it's possible. Even though it wasn't your fault expect your preumim to go up, I know it's stupid but when my mum done a quote fo her car. She had an accident say 2 years ago same position as you, on stop and hit from behind. For example say the quote was £250 but saying no to accidents, then once said yes to accidents, she picke the one not your fault, it went to £300, did the same thing saying it was her fault and it still went to £300.

If your insurance company pays for the accident, it's possible that you WILL lose that claims free discount.

Try to go through the other guys company. Call them yourself and turn a claim in on his behalf.

If you were hit from behind then it is the fault of the other driver. You shouldn't lose your NCD. If you are making a claim and you do lose your NCD, inform your solicitor and get them to deal with it. It's not your fault.

It really depends on the company and what market they put you in..

Yes, it could remove the discount for being clean for years when you have any activity in your driving history. Studies show even at naf accident results in the fact that something else might happen.

Or no, the company may decide that you've been with them for a while, and it won't affect your rate.

You shouldn't do as long as the other person doesn't start saying you stopped suddenly for no reason (which before anyone shouts it has happened at roundabouts) But get your no claims protected for the future.
