My husband is active duty, home of record is Texas. Our vehicle is currently reg. in texas and we do not plan on changing it. WE are currently stationed in maryland , does anyone know if we need to have our car inspected by maryland (emissions testing ect...)?

As far as MD law is concerned, no, you don't. However, the military takes a different view on that. The standard rules for operating on the installation require that POVs be inspected either in the state of domicile or locally. You have 2 choices: Go back to TX every year and have it inspected there, or get a MD inspection sticker.

When I was active duty they had a two out of three rule. Tow of ,insurance, drivers license,regersathion had to be from the same state.

I always keep the car registered in anther state usually there was no smog, and there was a military exceptions.

inspected? i have driven for 30 years and never had a car inspected. emissions testing? whats that? the state i live in does not require either.

NOPE!! As long as you'r in active service, you don't need a new driver license or your car a Maryland sticker.
