Hope that you don't get pulled over...the fine can be heavy. Take your old registration in and get a new one. In some states, you will be charged for the back time that you did not pay. So you may have to pay for a year and ahalf plus the current registration. Dont forget to sign the registration if it applies in your state. In Michigan, it is a $500 fine if you are pulled over and your registration is not signed.

This is strange I thought I was the only one who did this. Several years ago my daughter looked at my license plate and said you are three years overdue. I went down to the DMV and the clerk asked if I drove the car in the past three years. I said,"Oh no, I've been working on it". My son did a similar thing but he was honest and was charged for the back time. You have a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other, who do you listen to?

well i think you have to get insurance on it first then take your title of the car to the DMV and just tell them that you want to renew your car, but tell them that's it's been long overdue. Then they'll just do what they gotta to but hey there might be a high fee on that.
