I was driving at 43 in a 30 speed zone and got pulled over by a cop last evening. Given my clean history, he gave me a "warning" which I had to sign. As I understand, it wouldn't show up on my records, would it?

Thanks.

Yes and No
Since you sign it then it was a written warning as opposed to a verbal warning. A written warning is place on your record for a short period of time for other police officer to be aware of it. You really do not want to get pulled over during that period. It does not stay on your record.

Yes, I was pulled over 2 hours after I got a written warning and it was REALLY expensive.

It won't show up in the courts so it won't make your insurance go up. The warning shows up on the police records so they will know to keep a closer eye on you.

yes it does. because if they catch you speeding in that area again you automatically get a ticket. So it has to appear somewhere.
