Car Makes - November 2007

My mom says that Volkswagen Beetles are unsafe because they are small. That is not true. Just because they are small doesn't mean they are unsafe! I have done research and they are actually one of the safest cars out there!!! How can I convince her that They are safe and they are not coffins on wheels??? How??? HELP!!!!!

i am running injector cleaner in the fuel in hopes of a carbon deposit holding valve open. i have been told a burnt valve in this 2.9 inline six is very rare. any ideas? thanks to all the people who offered answers to my first question, helped me get to this point.

This may seem weird but a weeks ago for some ODD reason my key wouldnt "fit" in the ignition. I push, i jammed, I tried turning the wheel EVERYTHING.

My bf later came over and used his strength and got it in.

And now every so often the key gets stuck inside! Its so weird. Like sometimes it comes out with out a problem and sometimes I gotta yank on the thing!

Whats going on?? What in the world would cause this?

Dont tell me to look in the manual or talk to the dealer. I WANT INFORMATION FROM PEOPLE WHOVE WORKED ON THESE CARS! ----- I Imagine Synthetic would be better for the transmission. But you can only drain 60% or so of the fluid & the rest is in the torque converter, so it is ok that it mixed with synthetic. What kind is good?

Ok so my car is starting up fine then when I go somewhere and get back in it it won't start. Sometimes it will start but then when I go to put it into gear it dies or if I slow to a stop or go to turn a corner it will die on me? It is a 1995 Chevy Lumina. im planning to get into the local dirt track racing.im having a hard time to decide what truck i want to get.does anyone if a colorado would be able to pull a street stock race car.id like a gmc 2500hd disiel but that truck is a 40,000$ truck and disiel isnt cheap anymore not with the japs taking our fuel.i dont want to spend a ton of money on a big truck and only use it once a week to haul sumthing and drive it around the rest of the time with out the trailer on it with the car.

hot cold air was still blowing in the truck. The truck is a old Florida work truck and we took the heater core out years ago when it was leaking, we have since moved up North and need the heat. I think I discovered that there is a cover missing under the dash near the heater core and that all the cold air is blowing out, almost as if the blower is just blowing past the heater core and out this open area therfore not warming the air. I am tring to figure out what this cover may be called, so that I can purchase one to fix the problem. Any suggustions as to what this may be called would be appreciated. Thanks

The Cadillac CTS was named Motor Trend's Car of the Year for 2008. Do you agree? How does it compare to Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Hyundai Azera or Sonata, Lexus? A week ago unfortunately my Pontiac Grand Prix GTP was totaled in an accident. My husband removed the car bra but not the hardware - you know the snaps you snap your car bra into around the nose of the car. My question is where do I get this replacement hardware?

I still haven't found the exact factory color. If you go to edmonds.com and red the review for the 1996 Bronco they have a picture of an exact Bronco (like mine) that I'm looking for the color to. It was an option in late 95 and all of 96. To me it's a Competition Red or just Red cause it's a flat 1 stage paint no clearcoat. Almost positive it's not Crimson that is too dark. It's more like a 2001,02 Mustang and that Comp. Red. Any idea? Closest color I have found is from Plasti-kote it's 1510 Bright Red but it's a shade or two off I have used this for my hitch and reciever,not too noticable til you put it next to a panel but close.
