Gear Ratio for Chevy Silverado?

Can anyone tell me what the gear ratio is for the Chevy Silverado with VIN 1GCGK29U5YE152509? It's a 2000 3/4-ton 4x4. Thanks!

Check out the SIPI sticker w/ all the codes on it for the equip. on your truck and look for one of these codes. The SIPI sticker should ever be in the clove box or on the driver's door jam.

GQ1 -- AXLE REAR, STD RATIO
GT4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
G80 -- AXLE REAR, LIMITED SLIP (POSITRACTION)

HC4 -- AXLE REAR, 4.56 RATIO

Call a Chev dealer parts dept and they can tell you what axle ratio codes to look for on the option label and where it's located...usually in the glove box...gear ratio won't be in the VIN number.
