Is it true that if you program an universal remote to 9-1-1, then use the channel or volume buttons when pointing at a red light, that it turns it green.

I heard that emergency vehicles and cops have a thing in their car that automatically makes the lights green, and a remote can do just that

I brought a 2004 Hyundai Sonata in 2004. The salesman told me in 1 year I would be able to trade teh car for a better car. It's been three years and now I am upside down. What are other solutions other than putting $6,000 down for a new car?

Do they actually drive and if so can they put their hands on their hearts and say. I never ever break the speed limit.
I have a vivid memory of a taxi driver my firm used to use many years ago whio boasted that he had never broken the speed limit or had an accident in 35 years. Blimey he must have caused hundreds, those who sat with him came out shaking

Caravans are getting bigger as are the cars that tow them. This now means that a caravan and it's towing vehicle can be as long as an articulated lorry. However, there is currently no tax on drivers towing caravans. Why not? They block up the UK's roads from Easter until September, the driver in the vehicle towing the caravan has not sat a test to ensure that they know how to tow correctly and especially REVERSE! Towing a caravan puts an extra load on the towing vehicle which must increase it's carbon emmisions.

Caravans do we really need them??

I purchased a 95 Accord V6 that runs great, but the tachometer is always at 0. The check engine light is on with a P0725 error code. I did some google research and read this article that suggests I replace the ignition coil:

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3828/is_200204/ai_n9079886

Only thing is that the article mentions an "erratic" tachometer, not a broken tachometer. I also stumbled upon a forum thread where people were discussing success at fixing their "erratic" tachometers by replacing the coil. I really don't want to shell out $80 for a new coil only to find that my tach is still sitting on 0. Is there anything I can check on the car before I purchase a new coil?

An electronic company produces three models of stereo speakers, model A, B, and C and can delive them by truck, van or station wagon. A truck holds 2 boxes of model A, 2 of model B and 3 of model C. A van holds 3 boxes of model A, 4 of model B and 2 boxes of model C. A station wagon holds 3 boxes of model A, 5 boxes of model B and 1 of model C. If 25 boxes of model A, 33 boxes of model B and 22 boxes of model C are to be delivered, how many vehicles of each type should be used so that all operate at full capacity? Also, if Model C has been discontinued, how many vehicles of each type should be used to deliver 25 boxes of model A and 33 boxes of B so that all vechiles operate at full capacity?

My '92 Civic keeps dying and runs very rough whenever the air conditioner is on. I had the A/C modified to the R134 a couple of years ago. The car runs great (37 mpg city) without the air on - but it is getting pretty warm out!! Does anyone have any idea what is going on? thanks

I am an HGV 1 truck driver and have been dazzled on many occasions by inconsiderate drivers using rear fog lights in rainy conditions. According to uk highway code they should ONLY be used in THICK fog ,where the visibility is 50 metres or less . The road rescue sevices dont help by 'advising' drivers to use fog lights in rainy conditions either. If I feel the need to use them, (about 5 times in last 3years) I always switch them off when I see headlights in rear view mirrors so I dont dazzle!!

I have seen this many times. They look like 2 balls in a bag (ok, they look like scrotum). They are usually hanging from the underside of a pick-up truck towards the rear end. What is it? I often wonder why would any one hang something like that.

I always mix the 2 up for some reason. I know that insurance is to insure the car for any damages done to the other vehicle or your own vehincle, but what is a registration for. Is it to verify the owner of the vehicle. Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My car has a dummy light to remind me to change my oil. The manual says it detects when the oil is dirty and needs to be changed and turns on the light.

Up until recently, my light would only come on every 5,000-7,000 miles. But for my last 2 oil changes, it has come on before 3,000. The first time I thought it was a fluke, but the second time has me worried.

Could it just be the dirty oil sensor that is malfunctioning? Or could my oil be getting dirty faster? Should I disable the light and ignore it and just change my oil as often as my oil says to?
