my husband had a green car back then I think it was called a Marque back in the 80's I want to make sure if there was such a car and who made it.

You're most likely referring to a Mercury Marquis. In the 80's the Marquis was a mid size car (on the Ford Fairmont platform), the Grand Marquis was the larger car (same as Crown Victoria).

yes there was one called the mercury marquis,that's the only one i know of,people use to refer them as there marque,that may be what he,s talking about,they was popular in the late 70,s and 80,s,kind of like a ford ltd,they had similar features also,good luck on it.
