If i'm rear-ended in an auto accident, the other driver is at fault and their insurance covers my rental. are there any limitations as to what the insurance covers? will i be responsible for the damage waiver and so forth?

Years ago, I wasted thousands of dollars on a Camaro and it wasn't an 8-cylinder, it was a dumb 6-cylinder. I was miserable with it. I want speed, I want power, I want that burn-out get up and go with 300+ hp. That 1998 6-cylinder Camaro was too slow. It didn't have that power I truly wanted.

I have a 60 Gallon Oiled vertical compressor(Husky), and I'm having a problem.

Once the tank pressure reaches about 60 psi, there is a horrible loud 'scream' that begins, and only gets worse and louder as the PSI rises.

If I unplug the machine, the sound goes away, and the air pressure holds (means there's no air leaks, right?)

Could this be the electric motor? The Other 'oiled' motor?

Any help would be awesome, thanks

The two codes and my Check Engine light came on. I took it into a shop and they told me it was the catalytic convertor so they replaced it. I'm in the middle of the 50 mile 'driving cycle' before retesting and the Engine light came back on! What else can be wrong and how can I get the car to pass Emissions?!?

I ran my truck out of gas right at the pump and once it was fueled it would not fire.. if I held the gas pedal down it would start to catch but never fully fire.
I get the truck home, change the fuel filter thinking I just got something plugging it up, but with the new filter it does nothing. Any ideas other than fuel pump?? I don't see how running out of gas would trash my fuel pump.. any ideas?

I have a '98 cavalier and the power steering is leaking. It's left a mark on the ground where I park it and it looks like it's landing right below the reservoir and pump. How hard would it be to at least diagnose and maybe fix the problem? (For two people with access to the right tools and who are fairly mechanically inclined that is.) I'm just trying to get some *intelligent opinions* on if this is something along the lines of rebuilding a transmission kinda hard or replacing the oil pan kinda hard.

I cannot get to the battery as the lock wont open on the key, and the battery is too drained to operate the central locking. so i can't seem to start it, anyone got any ideas?

the only thought i had was to put a charger to the main positive wires into the alternator to get some charge to the battery to trigger the central locking.

are there any jump / charge points under the bonet?

Does running a high wattage stereo system use up more gas then a low wattage stereo system? I believe that a stereo system that is 900 watts for extreme sakes and a stereo that is 200 watts, the 900 watt system would suck up more gas because it does not run mainly from the car battery. I believe if the car stereo runs mainly from the battery, the car would die in several hours, so the car needs to get an extra energy source from the gas. Is the gas usage measurable or is it to minute?

I bought a car from a private seller who desperately needed the cash as he was leaving the country. He told me he had bought it from a friend and it was a paperless title and I just had to take his receipt in to the DMV with the application to transfer the title. Well as soon as I get there the clerk straight away says it was Lien sale and I have to get all the paperwork from the seller (who is now in Hungry incognito) and that is the only way I can transfer the title. There is now one to contact and I have no idea who he bought through, does anyone have any idea what I do in this situation as I cant insure the car as it is not in my name. Help, please please please.

I've sometimes wished that I never took a liking to trains after having to watch track after track being abandoned and ripped up. I wish that I just took them for granted like the non-railfan and been spared the knowledge of the slow decline of the railways. I should have got into NFL football or Basketball or some other pastime not in decline. Do you ever feel this way? Any comments or suggestions on staying positive about the rails?

I've tried reading the OK Drivers manual that is supposed to tell you the steps to go through, but as usuall: whatever the government pushes out is mud.

I just recently purchased a used car from Carmax and noticed that the air conditioning wasn't that cold. When i took it to Carmax to have them recharge the A/C for free, a typical repair that was covered under the purchase agreement, the tech working on my car didn't even bother to do any sort of diagnostic test of the A/C. He told me the A/C temp was fine. in his words, "If you turn on the A/C and the recycle interior cabin air together, your fingers should feel a biting after just a few seconds holding it up to the A/C vents." I feel like I got taken advantage of. Did I? What should I do in the future when I get an auto repair technician who I think is giving me crappy service and trying to take advantage of me?

got a used dodge 97 stratus. made noise right after we changed the oil. Told it had really thick oil in it and that was masking the problem. Continued to drive it because no one could tell us what the definate problem was. Check engine light came on and we went to auto zone and they checked why the light was on. Their machine said cylinders were misfiring. Now the noise is REALLY bad and a guy from our church says the rods blew the engine and we'll have to replace the entire engine. We took out a loan and paid full market value for this stupid car. We can't afford $2000+ for a new engine. What else can we do?!

last night my car was working just fine and this morning when I went to turn it on it would not start. The battery is good because all the lights turn on and my windows roll up & down. It makes the same noise it always does when it starts but it won't start it just makes that "er er er er" noise. What can I do?

I have a 2001 chevy tahoe, I just replaced the battery. Now the anti-theft system goes off every time I open the doors, sometimes it won't allow my truck to start, and I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery, and in doing that the truck starts on its own, without a key. What the hell is going on?

My car just passed an emissions test a few days ago but today I heard a loud knocking sound when I started my car. I checked the oil level and it was fine. The only fluid that was low was the trans fluid. Everyone I talked to in the past also talked about how great my motor sounds. What could it be? Is it my engine? If is how much will the parts or part cost? I have a 1994 Oldmobile Delta 88 Royale. Thanks in advance

I've heard you need to replace all 4 at a time so they match. This one tire is causing a slight shimmy which is starting to drive me nuts. My mechanic said it's ok to leave as is until I replace my tires, but I don't know how old mine are or when I'll need to replace them either. Help!

I already know it is not the condensor or compressor or anything else in the AC system itself. Those all work fine. It is just the blower motor or something connected to it that is not working. When it first broke, I could get the a/c to blow out a little by banging really hard on the dash board. It was not as hard as it should have been, but at least it worked. Now that won't even work. My questions are: 1) Is it the blower motor or could it be something cheaper/simpler than the blower motor? 2) If it is the blower motor, where the hell is the little sucker? 3) How much should it cost, parts and labor to repair it if I can't do it myself (which is a safe bet?) thanks!!!!
