is it hard to take apart my drum brakes in the rear of the truck

Try hitting the drums with a small flat hammer not hard to where you are going to break them but enough with some ummmffff. If that doesn't work you may have to back out the self adjusting screw located on the back of the drum if you have a adjusting tool that works best or a long screwdriver and a flashlight. Just keep backing out until the drum turns freely again then you should be able to take it off. This is usually caused if you haven't replaced the shoes in a long time and grove develops on the inside of the drum and stops the drum from coming loose.

No!! If you have a workshop manual on the vehicle. Yes!! if the drums have been on for a while.
