Inside the MAF sensor attached to the air filter housing. The sensor does both functions, mass air flow and intake air temperature. If by some odd chance you have a factory supercharged engine it will have a second IAT sensor downstream from the supercharger in the intake manifold.

Don't do it. All it is, is a resistor that fools the truck into thinking it is running cold. It will just dump more fuel into the engine with a minimum power gain and lousy gas mileage. Get a Programmer like a Diablosport Predator and do it right. Mine made a big difference on my 01 5.4L.
