I just bought one 12" alpine type-r sub (4+4ohms). And a mono-channel alpine m-450 amp rated at 500w @ 2ohms, 220w @ 4 ohms. I heard if i wire the sub with the 4 ohms i will only get 110w of power. I this true? Is that underpowering the sub by too much? and will it sound good?

I want to sell my truck, but I want to make it worth more. Kelley Blue Book says my vehicle should have 79 K miles on it, it only has 72 K on it, and there aren't any problems. I just want to get all I can out of it. There are a few blemishes and things that I can clean up and fix myself, but what is a key selling point on a used vehicle?

I just bought this car and I live in the north. I need to get 4x4 put on this car. If I put 4x4 tires on my car does that mean I have 4x4 or do I have to go to a shop to get it done. Can I even do that ? am I able to get my non 4x4 car to become a 4x4 car? Also, can I put on snow tires? Would that help? I JUST NEED TO DO SOMETHING SO I CAN DRIVE IT IN THE WINTER!! someone help!!!

I saw a new Ford truck today. It was brand new off the showroom floor, still had the sticker in the window. It was a four door heavily modified with big tires, chrome rims, and a huge flared side fenders (not over the tires but on the side panels) and a flared hood. It looked just like the Ironside truck from the Transformers movie. I think it was a F150. I looked on Ebay and on Fords website and I couldn't find any reference to it. I have ruled out Saleen and Roush. Any ideas on what it is?

Personally, I think that the cell phone ban has made in less safe. Now when dialing, you are sneaky about it and taking ur eyes off the road longer because you keep the phone out of sight. Then in addition to having the distraction of being on the phone, you are now distracted because you are looking out for police officers.
Now, I was one to always pull over and use the phone even before the law, because I do find it distracting, but when I didn't, I think I was much safer then I do it now.

Anyway I was just curious if this law was beneficial because if so, then they need to concider ipod laws. When I first got that thing and didn't know what I was doing I prayed for my life and others as I tried to drive and work the ipod. Eventually I got tired of it and just stopped using it, but I see it as a danger as well.

does a single control wire to a solenoid make sense? the neighbor will give me a boat for a good deal after I get it running. There is only one small guage wire going to the remote solenoid, and the main feed (12V) is perfect and so is the feed to the starter from the solenoid. I have no wiring diagram. its a 1989 ske centurion with a 351. Can't get the solenoid to kick, regrounded it to the engine, etc.

I am thinking about buying the new 2007 dodge NITRO...can it be fitted on factory gas? Or can it be fitted on Gas after I buy it? Would it just "never be the same" if i put it on gas?
Or.. would the diesel be anywhere near as cheap to run as gas? Not many solid answers written up about this...

the problem is i put air shocks on to try to raise the rear end so i can put wider tires on but the air shocks did not raise it up that far. I was looking for help to see if i adjust the leaf springs if that would give me more height
