I am starting to get rust on my trunk, and I was wondering if any warranty I didn't know about covers it. I bought it from a GM Dealer....

Yes, GM vehicles have rust or corrosion warranty (use to be 5 or 7 year/100,000 mile---not sure what it currently is) depending on if it's a manufacturing defect and not an exterior rust spot that may have been caused by a stone chip or some other reason not related to a defect...check with the dealer bodyshop.

You could ask, but i'm 99% sure it won't work. American Automakers have been making vehicles cheaper every year trying to keep up with Toyota. Your warranty covers powertrain and engine. Which is tranny, engine only. GM doesn't cover anything else..

Sorry....

Unless its a short circuit and it causes a fire and burns down half the car. GM don't really care :(
Their stock continues to fall, and even with their new 7 year /100,000 mile plans if you look at the small print. THey will make sure they blame you for any damage, or engine damage which wouldn't normally be there. And they'll state it was caused from abuse, and wasn't cleaned, or used appropriately.

GM will cover rust-through (must be an actual hole) for 5 years/100,000 miles. Get that repaired ASAP before it gets worse.
