You're a top contributor, you don't know? My list would be thus. 1. The Suzuki Hayabusa 1300. Any stock machine that will do a governed 180 mph gets my vote. 2. The Corvette ZR motors. 3. The Jaguar XJ220. 4. The Buick Grand National and 5. the 302 Boss Mustang motor. Not because it is the fastest, but because that old 225 hp pushrod motor was fun to drive, even if it was slow.

what do you mean by fastest?
1: the ferrari F40 V12 engine-this engine has been the basis of ferrari's formula one engines for nearly 2 decades
2: the posche turbo carrera flat six-one of the most successful road racing engines ever built
3: the ford boss 351-the basis for ford's small block efforts in many forms of racing, including nascar, nhra, ahra, trans-am, imsa gto.
4: the chrysler 392 hemi-this engine was one of the most powerful in its day in the 50's, and is the basis for the hemi engines used in top fuel dragster and funney car racing today
5: the ZL1 chevy aluminum 427-this light weight and very powerful engine powered corvette race cars in the late 60's, unfortunately it was used for only a few years.
