I want to sell my truck, but I want to make it worth more. Kelley Blue Book says my vehicle should have 79 K miles on it, it only has 72 K on it, and there aren't any problems. I just want to get all I can out of it. There are a few blemishes and things that I can clean up and fix myself, but what is a key selling point on a used vehicle?

I didn't think about putting this, but it is a 2000 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab Sport Edition. It has Alloy wheels, power everything, single compact disc player, abs, cruise control, & a/c. That is all I can think of right now.

If you want the most out of your truck, Have it professionally detailed! Have any required state inspections performed. You want the truck to look good, and having current (fresh) inspections means that the buyer does not have to worry about that!
Remember that Kelly Blue Book is only a guide. I am assuming that you truck is a 4 wheel drive. The price you are listing is top top top dollar for that truck..It is based on a dealer sale with a warranty. I would expect you to get less for it.
If you really want to make your truck worth more, tape a bag of twenty dollar bills under the seat!!!! LOL
Good luck!

There is no way for you to really do anything at this point to increase the value on your truck, assuming that everything works the way it is supposed to. I sell cars for a living, and I don't give any more money for a car if it is dirty or clean. What matters to me is what options the vehicle has, does EVERYTHING work the way it's supposed to, how many miles, and overall condition. A wax job and interior detail won't get rid of rust, dents, holes in the upholstry, A/C that doesn't blow cold, intake gaskets that are bad, tranny's that slip...
In other words, cosmetics don't truly affect the value of your vehicle. What determines the value of your vehicle is 1. Mechanical condition; 2. Overall aesthetic condition--dents, scratches, rust, worn upholstry, broken switches, etc; 3. Market value--what it would cost the dealership to purchase a vehicle like yours at an auction or whatever the local market will allow the dealer to wholesale your car for.
Dealers have detail people to clean your car, and if they know what they are doing, cleanliness of your car makes very little difference. Now, if the carpet is so stained by soda spills (or like what happens out here--cow manure) that it needs to be replaced, that goes to what I said about holes, etc., and that would lead to a deduction. If the vehicle is IMMACULATE overall, it may make a $300 to $500 difference.
Just make sure your vehicle runs well, needs no repairs, and all the little things are in good order.

'As a woman you depended on him'. interesting expression. motor vehicle sellers, and all salesmen count upon human beings such as you for a dwelling. are not getting bypass, it incredibly is the sellers that I detest. inspite of the reality that, I desire you precise on your courtroom declare. The crux of the region ought to look proving that the motor vehicle grew to alter into 'no longer of merchantable intense high quality' as quickly as you first provided it. As others have pronounced a qualified examiners record putting forward that the faults weren't related with the 11 months time which you drove it must be very useful incredibly. next time, take somebody who incredibly knows roughly autos interior the previous you purchase or connect the AA and get a record interior the previous you purchase. Ask to have a attempt tension. Ask if the broking ought to recommendations in case you had your storage do a 'pre mot be sure'. in the event that they do no longer desire, walk away.

Not much. How do you plan on selling it? E-bay usually gets you a higher price than local classifieds. On the e-bay ad, include as much info as you can. Be candid and point out any flaws.
Make sure that it is detailed either professionally or on your own.
You would not get your money back if you did any major maintenance or repair items. However, it should be mechanically sound.

Key selling point is popularity, or location where they sell more. Nice you have less miles than what KBB thinks you should have, just be aware, delerships don't even go by that book anyways. Good luck.

Clean and wax everything, make sure the windows are clean, underneath the hood is shiny, and armor-all the tires.
Make it look like a new one, or as much as you can anyway. good luck.
