I have a ford Lehman diesel (120 hp) I have used the boat a few times this year - usually for longer trips (10 hours or so) and last time out noticed oil in the well - when I checked it was 5 quarts low. The boat is not really smoking so I don't think any is getting burned - is it just getting warm on the long rides and leaking from the oil pan? any help would be great

I'm looking for new Car Stereo and I'm interested in HD-Radio and I've looked online. I've seen some with HD-Radio with Built-In Tuner and some with just HD-Radio.

So, if I want to hear HD-Radio I also have to buy a Tuner along with my new HD-Radio?

Which is freakin expensive by the way, 150 Deck + 150 Tuner.

I have just purchased an impact wrench, got it home and oiled it. When I try to use it, it will barely turn a nut that I manually loosened. It is suppose to work at 5.0CFM@90PSI, as is my compressor, and I think I have the regulator set to 90 PSI. What should I do? I don't won't to take it back, should I? Thanks!

OK after posting question after question trying to figure out why my engine was jumping and I had a loss of power I finally popped the hood and looked around. After hearing a little bit of everything I found (upon playing with spark wires and being shocked) that the cylinder three connector on the ignition coil was not releasing a spark. So other than having the coil replaced, because thats in line, I want to know if theres anything that would have caused the original one to go bad, making replacing it obsolete.

Theres still the question of why the initial misfire would be caused by water contact. As in the only time the idle was rough was after heavy rain and when I disconnected the wire from the spark plug. The spark plug wires themselves are AC delco wires which seem to be in good shape.

I have a 97 softail with an s&s motor I was recently on a long ride about 50 miles into I noticed my oil pressure Gauge had stopped work but everything seemed fine so i finished the ride which ended up being around 300 miles. It just recently got out of the shop and i'm thinking its something they did to it. Should I get it looked at or is it something that can wait till my routen maintance is up?

I was offered a quote of $1200 to replace my head gaskets. They called and said they had trouble getting the cam bolts off, causing extra hours of labor. Then they told me that it was extra to send the heads to the head shop for inspection ($110 x 2). Then they charged me on top for the bolts to be replaced. These combined, the total is now $1900. I would have thought that those charges should have been included in the estimate ($1200). They had taken $600 off the price (would be 1800) because they put in a new thermostat, water pump, and oil pan , for which I already paid $700 (and the car was still overheating). It seems to me they're trying to make up the cost they reduced. Should the bolts (cam and/or head), head shop inspection and extra time have been included in the quote or extra?

I was riding home and i turned my lights on half way down the road,

They came on for about 1 second and went off.

front and back lights and indicators.

However, the brake lights, oil light and horn still work.

I know the bike has two fuses.. 7A and 10A.

Any Ideas.

P.S. I have changed the 7A to no avail. But dont know where to find the 10A fuse.

Thanks.

My car was in a small accident a few weeks ago and I can't get it into the shop for another 3 weeks. The problem now is; whenever I lock my doors (thus turning the alarm on) the alarm goes off every 20 mins or so. I need a way to lock the doors without turning the alarm on. Is this possible on a 2003 BMW 530i? I had been just unlocking the sriver side door by pushing the button once, this turned the alarm off, but some1 broke into my car the other day and took a lot of valuables.

Surely we'd be a lot better off with a parachute instead of a seatbelt and a lifejacket ( although these are necessary too ). Under circumstances where something went wrong wouldn't it save lives? Maybe airline bosses think that people wouldn't feel as safe and fly less if parachutes were made available.
If your plane is going down no seatbelt or lifejacket with a whistle is worth jackshit to you.

I recently visited a showroom to enquire about a new VW Golf match. When I brought up the subject of discounts for cash and no trade in I was told it made little difference.
I'm sure that if i'd gone to do a deal there would have been something. Anyone with recent experience in these matters?

Repaired 2001 Dodge Intrepid Head Gaske, but the shop says they won't warranty it because it had sludge in the engine. Don't all engines have some sludge in the engine? They said they did a solvent flush and probably removed 85% of the sludge. Shouldn't they at least warranty their work for 90 days.
