I was wanting a smaller car for better gas milage. What is your opinion for the 2007 LT1 Chevy Colbalt. I heard they have only been out a couple of years. Thank you in advance for your advice.

Hey, I have a 2004 Dodge Ram.. well about a month ago I was rear ended pretty hard, just tailgate damages, but still driveable. I did not get it serviced yet or repaired. The other day I was driving and my truck went dead. I took it to the shop and they said there was no oil, and they want receipts. The advisor said the cam was welded to the cam shaft.

Now.. for that to happen, would it be caused by no oil or could it have been caused by being rear ended pretty hard?

My yacht mast is covered with many small pit marks in the anodizing, they are not deep but plentiful. ie about 15~20mm apart and on one side of the mast more marked than the other, possibly due to acid rain or similar. I am therefore considering painting the mast. (re-anodizing would be prohibitively expensive)

the car has around 165,000 miles with very minor outside scratches, needs a water pump and timing belt, runs good and has been well cared for. Over all it is in very good condition. What should be a good offer for a car like this?

Sometimes, the key will not turn all the way over. If I keep trying, and sometimes moving the steering wheel, it will finally turn all the way over. Occasionally, it will start up on the first try. However, it seems to be getting worse. What could be causing this and how much should I expect it to cost to fix? This is a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier.

I've popped out the old wheel stud on my front driver side and slid the new one in the hole (w/o taking the hub apart). I then screwed my wheel nut (or lug) and tightened it as much as possible to pull the stud through the hub hole (like most people say to do). This is partially working, but its doing more damage to my wheel nut than pulling the stud back through the hub hole, i feel like i'm going to break something because i'm applying so much force into this dinky bolt. Any other ideas? I can't take apart the wheel hub yet because its held together by a gynormous nut that i do not have tools for.

I have a '05 Scion tC and I'm due in for an oil change soon. I'm just wondering if I should switch over to synthetic oil because I heard that you could get better performance, mileage and that it was just better in general for you car. Is this all true?

I first replaced the battery, and it started fine for a while, then the same problem ( wont start) I was going to replace the starter but after charging my battery for 5 min. it started right away. So I replaced the Alternator. It started good for a while but the problem is still there. If I charge for 5min it starts OK. I feel the starter is still good, but there is a problem with the charging system on the car. What components are between the Alternator and the Battery that could stop battery charging properly ?

it says to disconnect the negative side of the battery for five mins. and then reconnect it AT MY OWN RISK so the computer would get used to the new intake, should i do what the instructions say or just leave it alone. car runs a lil better and gave me a lil more sound in exhaust the way it is now.

Its been a while since anything has been posted, so i might as well post one of my problems. I was having a no spark problem with my 64 6V beetle. I changed the condensor and points and got it going. I let it run and everything for about 15- 20 minutes and drove it out of the back yard. Down the back alley and signalled to turn and lost all ignition. There is no spark again and the condensor is dead im suspecting. Any ideas on what would short out the condensor??? Could it be the coil? I just put a new one from NAPA. The thing i dont get is why did it happen when i signalled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have a 13w7 matched up withh a jl audio 1000/1 in the back of an SUV. The sub makes a popping noise when the volume is turned up and im thinking the reason is because the sub isnt getting any back pressure. The box is a poted design. Will stuffing it with Poly-Fill solve this problem? (money is an issue here too)

I have a GM Goodwrench crate engine block 2 piece rear main seal, that has been prepped for a 383 and I needed to know if anyone could tell me about what this block would be worth. It is a 4 bolt main, bored 0.030, stroker clearanced, new cam bearings, new freeze plugs, magnafluxed, baked. It's basically brought back to almost new condition. The reason I am asking is that I have had a lot of people want to buy it from me, but I don't know a price to sell it for. I need to sell it that's why I was wondering. Please post what you think I should sell it for. If you need anymore info on the block just ask. Thanks
