Currently it F-15C ( The F-15 has over 200 confirm Aerial Victorys to No Losses in Air Combat )but F/A-22 Will be the 21st Centurys Super Fighter.

The one that wins the dogfights. Thruth is I don't know because some are faster, some more manueverable, some better armed and so on. I think the real question is who are the best fighter PILOTS in the world. A good shot with a .22 can win a fight with a bad shot who has a .357 can't he?

US's Fifth generation F-22 Raptor,
Russians Sukhoi47-Berkut and MIG 1.44 Flatpack,
EU's Eurofighter Typhoon,
All these countries including India, China and Korea are developing new technology fighter jets .... lets see what happenes then....
But sincerely for now... i think it's the F-22 Raptor. Sexy looking machine it is.... Fly away unit cost is about US$ 120m.... hmmm wish i had one in my yard....

the f-22 raptor, and the future f-35 lighting II. they both kind of look alike, but differ in roles for the military. the f-35 will come in a VTOL version, a short take off and landing for aircraft carriers, and a normal one for regular air-bases. the f-22 and f-35 are both stealth fighters/bombers, and can exceed super sonic speeds without afterburners. they both are designed for 21 century fighters to compete with the soviet and other european fighters.
