i live in st. louis, mo...i can't drive to or from work without having to make a evasive manuever to avoid a wreck.now, this is the weird thing..st. louis drivers come in number 1 in the "freindliest drivers" catagory in the country yet the insurance industry has deemed us as the "worst drivers" in the country..(the insurance folks are very smart folks btw and statistics tend not to lie..)...is it possible that the implementation of "road rage" laws which discourages any sort of verbal confrontation between drivers may actually be detrimental to getting people not to drive like savages?

I have a 2000 mercury mystique my husband was on his way to work today and it just died. He said the oil light went on when it did. This is the first time that it has ever did that it has never died before. We always get it checked out when we do the oil change at the ford delarship and they didnt notice any problems when they checked it a couple months ago. What could of caused this? We had a guy change the breaks on it just about a week ago could that of been the problem? Also it has plenty of gas in it so it didnt run out.

This morning I was traveling to work and had to take the second exit, in a four exit roundabout. I've been driving about 3 weeks but have been doing this journey for two, my mum said there's a lot of cutting up on that roundabout so you should get in the right hand lane to take the second exit (she had an accident on the same roundabout taking the left hand lane for second exit) but I’ve always been told get in the left hand lane for first or second exit and right hand lane for third or fourth exit. So I checked the roundabout and it was clear I got half way across the first exit and out of no where a car (who I might add was traveling at about 50 mph) cuts me up badly, inches away from my front bumper, luckily I saw him and managed to slow down but it shook me up a bit. Was I right to be in the left hand lane? Or should I get in the right hand lane in future?

Cars that go faster than lets say 70 mph cause deaths and serious injuries. If cars were made not to go over a certain speed then it would lower accidents caused by speeding. there would be less speeding tickets, less high speed chases, less death by motor vehicles. this seems to be a simple solution for a stupid problem. What is up with that?

My truck was high centered some time ago and lost much of the tranny fluid. The truck was driven for a while after that and eventually, something went out in the trans. if the clutch is let out, all I get is a loud rattle, even w/ transfer case in N. app. what would be the cost of a rebuild (if the trans. case is ok). truck is a '94 v6 4x4 standard cab w/ 93k on the motor. trans case rebuilt abt 3 yrs ago. just want to know if it's worth fixing

Anyone have any advice? I unfortunatley don't have enough money to take it in to have it looked at and need to drive a long distance this weekend.
We just bought the car a week ago, it is running in perfect order for the most part...
Sometimes it seems to choke for a second or more before starting after the cars been sitting off for a little while.
If I was to turn the ignition off, and then re-start it right away it has no problem....
grrrrrrrrrrrr! What could it be?

When I say the Porsche 911 I mean the 996 or current 997 version. All have acceleration to 60 around the mid 4s. The NSX arguably have the best handling, but is no longer produced.

About three weeks ago, I backed into my co-worker's car. There was no damage to mine and appeared to be none to hers (she has a car cover on the front). A few days ago she comes to me a tells me that I cracked her bumper and the paint is peeling. We didn't file a police report. We were in a private parking lot in Louisiana. I think I'm at fault, but my insurance company says that we would each have to pay our own damages under the no fault law. She gave me a ridiculous estimate for her car repairs. Can she sue me for her repairs or her deductible? I have to work with her every day so I don't want there to be any hard feelings, but I can't afford what she wants.
