i want the jdm style look to my taillights with the clear instead of amber color on the bottom but its just a piece of plastic and jdm lights cost too much. i know some people make their own and remove the orange plastic piece themselves. how do i go about doing this and where can i get good parts for this operation (clear plastic piece, dissassebly tools etc)

I'm looking to (possibly) build my own RV; I was thinking of going with a truck camper, but now I'm thinking a travel-trailer. My question: where can you find that lower component of a trailer? Any idea on cost?

Any other tangentially-related info is also welcome.

I know there is a lot of money involved to lay the catenary, but is this the "environmental" thing to do now. Also, don't juice jacks have higher hp then most diesel/electrics?

It is a 1995 Sea-Doo speedster. The gauges don't work and the lights on the dash don't work. I have checked the fuses and they are all okay. It is possible the ground is bad but I don't know where to bring in a new ground. Any ideas?

I have a 94 Grand Cherokee Laredeo, Staight 6, command track, newly rebuilt tranny, 165K. The problem is the jeep has a little slop in the front end pretty much through all driving speeds. The rims and tires are great and balanced. I recently replaced the front flexible brake lines because the abs light is on most of the time and the pads, rotors, and callipers look to be very good. While braking it sounds like the rear brakes need to be replaced too. I did notice that the front shocks seem to have a little play from side to side, so thay should be replaced, but could that be the problem? Everything else except the front drivers side upper ball joint looks to be original. What should I look into first, and what are the most common causes of steering problems in these grand cherokees? Best one will get the 10 points. Thanks for looking.

I am reposting with some more details. I am the "boyfriend" from the original post :))

All this started with a busted soft line on the driver side. Both front soft lines looked ancient so when the one broke I replaced both of them. Since then we have been completely without front brakes, but the back brakes have been fine. I have changed all 4 wheel cylinders, the master cylinder twice, the soft and hard lines, adjusted the brake pedal, re-verified that the shoes are adjusted properly, and replaced the the rubber tubing that connects the reservoir to the master cylinder. With all of this the problem is the exact same as when it started...no fronts and the backs are 100%.

The master cylinder has a seperated reservoir, one side for the front and one side for the back. It has two seperate inlets, one for the front and one for the back. If that doesn't make sense look @ the exploded view on wolfsburgwestdotcom. It DOES NOT look like that. It has 2 inlets to the reservoir.

I have a 92 F-150 with the 302 V8. I was wondering if I could safely cut out 4 cylinders by removing spark plug wires and disconnecting injectors. I don't care the lack of accelaration this would cause, I do a lot of freeway driving anyways. I have been working on cars forever, and have gone to school for it as well. But I have never done anything like this or seen it. I don't see any problems that would arise from it. Because there are 8 cylinders and two are always working together, you just need to cut out half and make a 4 cylinder. Has anybody seen this. There are new cars which cut out 4 when not needed, but this way is a little different. Any input??

The tank vent is free from obstruction. After the bike stalls and the key is turned off then on, there are large amounts of air bubbles which can be heard coming from inside the gas tank. After the key is turned off and then on a few times, the air bubbles in the tank get less noticeable until there is virtually no sound of bubbles in the tank. Once the sound of bubbles goes completely away in the tank, the bike will restart and run fine for about 50-70 miles. When the bike stalls again, the same process must take place in order for the bike to start and run properly again.

Ok i was thinking... if the american people would instead of not buying gas on a monday or any other day like so many people have been trying to put into play, why dont we just boycott one gas company? this way we still get our gas whenever we want, but the one company we boycott will not sell any gas. And if that company doesn't sell gas they will be forced to lower prices. Then after that one company is forced to lower prices the other gas companies will have to follow suit, because they will begin to lose the consumer to the company we are going to boycott. If this makes sense to anyone else please let me know. Then Give me your opinion. I am going to Pick SHELL as my company to boycott who's with me

When drving my car around the rural roads where I live, I frequently see a motorcycle coming towards me with a blinking headlamp. I've even seen a motorcycle with 3 separate headlamps and the central lamp is flickering away while the others are on steady. Is this a result of too little amperage in the electrical system? improper grounding?.

got into a minor accident with a car while on my motorcycle in LA traffic. i didn't have insurance at the time of the accident. whose fault it was is very questionable but the damage on his car was on his rear bumper on the left side. so does that mean that it will be automatically my fault? furthermore, if i try and contest this, i know i'm going to have to do it without my insurance company. will my having no insurance at the time of the accident automatically make me get into more trouble? kinda new at this so i need help. i had him follow me and coupla exits down and then exit however i could not stay as there was a family emergency- life or death mind you. this means that he doesn't have an eye witness and neither do i to give fault. what can i do? are the odds against me?
