The tank vent is free from obstruction. After the bike stalls and the key is turned off then on, there are large amounts of air bubbles which can be heard coming from inside the gas tank. After the key is turned off and then on a few times, the air bubbles in the tank get less noticeable until there is virtually no sound of bubbles in the tank. Once the sound of bubbles goes completely away in the tank, the bike will restart and run fine for about 50-70 miles. When the bike stalls again, the same process must take place in order for the bike to start and run properly again.

My first thought - vaporizing gas.
Then I read easygoing's answer.
I think your problem is at or below the fuel pump, not the tank. Same thing, though.

Ive got a modified FJ1100 yamaha that does exactly the same thing.. turned out to be the petrol boiling in the tank because the motor runs so hot... fitted a heat guard over the top of the motor under the gas tank... helped but didnt completly fix the problem...

Next time it happens open the tank & see if its pressure stoping the fuel.. if there is no negative pressure in the tank.. then it could be the gas boiling..

Some newer bikes have a one-way valve to vent the gas tank.
If it's installed backwards, the tank will build up pressure, instead of venting.
If possible, get a vented gas cap and try running that to see if the problem goes away.

u must be using a high volitile gasoline, meaning its ability do vaporize,it causes vapor lock, the gas is actualy vaporizing before it gets tocarb jet wher atomization is supposed to take place, it starves the engine of fuel and will lose power or stall.

Check for a vacuum lock problem.... i.e. a restriction of incoming air. maybe a vent problem with the gas cap ??? I am assuming its fuel injected
