Accidents will happen. At least you were not hurt. You should not have driven by yourself. If your dad let you do this then partial blame goes to him. However, get your head cleared out so that when you do drive again(and not by yourself)you will be able to think clearly and be alert. The past is the past.Apologize if you haven't already and move on....Good Luck

You have a conscience, which is why you feel bad about what happened. There are few positive things to take away from what happened.... whatever caused the accident, you will probably never make the same mistake, you're still learning and although no one likes to have an "uh-oh" while learning, that is part of the learning curve for some people... don't sweat it. It's called an accident, not an "on-purpose" and you seem genuinely remorseful and concerned about your actions, so that all kind of evens out. Do yourself a favor and get behind the wheel as soon as possible, don't let the past impact your future as a driver, shake it off, learn from it and get over it. I'm sure your father (although probably not thrilled right now) WILL let you drive and may even ride with you again. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Your father will most likely not have you drive for a long time until he thinks you are responsible enough to get behind the wheel. Take a drivers education course so your Father knowes you are serious about learning to drive and get the proper training you need. You can also offer to pay for all the damages by getting a summer job this would help too. Best Wishes!

Okay, material things like the car and tree can be replaced. If you feel really bad, plant another tree. Otherwise, not much to do by yourself. Sounds like Mom had a bad drive, but insurance might help replace car. If Mom wasn't able to handle your car she should have left it alone. Not your fault at this point, unless you insisted that she drive it.

It sounds as if you are more guilty about damaging the way you drive then what you did to your fathers car. ....Your father realizes this happens to new drivers.
It will take you a awhile to pay your father back for the cost of the damage but it sounds like you will. Everyone has to learn sometime.....Just a newbie mistake.

1. Go over how the collision occurred and work out a driving strategy that will enable you to avoid a repeat.
2. If you don't already have one, get a job and offer to contribute to the cost of the damage repairs.
3. If your father sees that you're taking a responsible attitude, I think he'll trust you.

I think you need a lot more practice - preferably in a bike! - before you get on the road again - for your safety and ours.
I wouldn't let you drive my car again until you were 18 if you were my child lol But seriously, that's how I'd feel right after, but with time, I'm sure your dad will forgive you and you'll look back on it and laugh.
But please, learn more before going on the road again. Perhaps you can get a job, save for your own car, so you won't have to borrow his. Good luck :)

Everyone makes mistakes. What you did was wrong, but I'm glad that you feel guilty and are realizing that your actions have consequences. What is important for you to do now is to learn from your mistake. I think your father will forgive you in time if you show him that you learned a lesson and that you are willing to act more responsibly in the future.
