You are the officer in charge of the 1st due Engine company operating on the scene of an MVA on the interstate. The state police officer tells you to "move the Engine because you are taking up 2 lanes." A woman is trapped in a car, and it looks like an extended extrication. All personnel are working....however, he wants it moved now! How would you address this problem? What would you say to him?

I sold a motorcycle as a private seller. The bike worked fine when I had it. I sold it thinking it was as-is. I got a call 3 hours later saying it broke down on the side of the road. He wants me to pay for the repairs. I agreed to go and look at it, and to try to repair it. Am I responsible for this? Please help!
P.S it is in Ca

My car, a 1995 300zx.The noise is a squeek, squeek, squeek, sound as i back up & only when i back up.The noise is comming from the under and twards the back.I had the breaks checked but just as i suspected it wasnt that.Driving forward it runs like a bute with no noise or vibration. It started about two weeks ago. When driving in reverse the noise is present weather the car is hot or cold. The noise level is allways the same. The squeek squeek sound picks up speed as the car piks up speed. If anyone knows what this might be,is it fixable without replacing something? Oh,the noise that i am hearing is'nt getting louder, its been the same from the start. What could this be? and what should i do? All your thouts and or ideas will be greatly apreciated. THANKS TM

I'm getting a 1980 Nissan Pathfinder with approx 229,000 miles. No big problems noted. How long can I expect the engine to "live"? I know the current owners (family). They have well maintained the vehicle and cared well for it. I just want to know what to expect. Thanks!

I put a new drum and axle nut on it and it still happens. It is not missing any parts. The splines on the previous drum were worn, so it had a little play on the spindle, even when tightened as much as possible. I also put a new cone washer and axle nut on as well and tightened as much as it allows(it only tightens so far, even with a torque wrench, because the cotter pin goes through). The splines on the spindle are good and the new drum went on perfectly with no play, but now after about 20 miles the drum is loose on the spindle again. What is wrong and where should I take it?

I've requested the credit bureaus to remove/fix parts of my credit report so that hopefully my fico will go up. I want to get my fico as high as i can before applying for a car loan/lease. I usually put less than10k miles on my vehicles per year. I own a 2001 toyota mr2 with less than 40k miles. I plan on selling it and putting the money down on a purchase if i don't qualify for a lease.

I have a 1989 5.0 Mustang that I had to pull the distributor to replace the Ignition Control Module. I was careful to mark the distributor's postion however I forgot to mark the rotor position within the distributor. Now I'm stuck. Can anyone give me a clue as to how to align the engine with the distributor enough to get it running so that I can fine tune the timing by twisting the distributor? Thanks.

My pulley split and fell off. Or it fell off and was cut in half by the fan. In any case I need to replace it. Is it pressed on only? I don't see a bolt hole in the end of the shaft. What do I need to press another one back on? The pump seems to spin ok and I'd rather not replace the whole thing.

Thanks in advance

I'm planning to buy 64 Mustang convertible. But I'm worried for all that money to go down the drain by someone jacking it. So I was planning to install Onstar for that, and other reasons. But then I'm not sure if that can be done. AND if so, how much would installation be?
