Can Onstar be installed in any car?

I'm planning to buy 64 Mustang convertible. But I'm worried for all that money to go down the drain by someone jacking it. So I was planning to install Onstar for that, and other reasons. But then I'm not sure if that can be done. AND if so, how much would installation be?

No it is only Factory installed on GM.

Get a Lo jack tracking device, your better bet if the car is stolen
