I put a new drum and axle nut on it and it still happens. It is not missing any parts. The splines on the previous drum were worn, so it had a little play on the spindle, even when tightened as much as possible. I also put a new cone washer and axle nut on as well and tightened as much as it allows(it only tightens so far, even with a torque wrench, because the cotter pin goes through). The splines on the spindle are good and the new drum went on perfectly with no play, but now after about 20 miles the drum is loose on the spindle again. What is wrong and where should I take it?

Sounds like a brake issue. I would take it all apart again and make sure that you replaced the brake hard ware properly. Is it rattling? If this is the case you might want to try adjusting the brakes before tearing it apart again. and check to see if the axle bearings are bad. this might be the real culprit.

many of the different solutions are applicable in a manner. Are the bearings the type that pop out with the drum..." pressed bearings" Or are they curler or needle bearings" the type the place you positioned a bearing and a seal on the decrease back ingredient of the drum to hold the bearing in positioned the drum on and positioned the different bearing in,A washer and a nut? If it incredibly is the pressed in style there's a crush sleeve which you're able to alter "a undeniable washer". then you definately could use a torque wrench to tighten the nut to production unit specifications.it fairly is a incredibly severe torque score that I doubt you could desire to do with a typical ratchet or wrench. the different possibility is the spindle that the bearings rides on is worn from the drum being loose. The spindle would could get replaced if it fairly is the case

Be very careful with that drum. If it comes off, then you might have a serious problem. Take it to any type of place that do tires, brakes, things like that. Most oil places don't have specialists for that kind of job. Although I don't want to imply you have nothing in the experience of that kind of thing, you may have messed something up.
