Someone told me that an upholstery shop can maybe make one. Any ideas?

call the 800 # or find an upholstery shop that sells to the public, they do I know.
TopsUSA,SoftTops, and a buncha others,Upholstery shops, have made the soft tops for Manufactured cars in America and wherever since Buggy Days.

they never made them from Ford. Factory roof was removable fiberglas.

They stopped making Ford Broncos, so have you tried looking in a junk yard? Maybe the Ford Dealer near you can help you find one. Good luck
