Everytime I press my brakes, my Ford Focus starts to shake and I just wanted to know what the problem is before I travel with the car so that it doesn't stop working on the highway or something.

The reason I ask is, I read an article in Truck Trend that said GM was offering an upgraded version of its Allison 1000 series transmission. The article also stated that GM was not going to offer a manual. Does anybody know. Personally I think this would be corporate suicide. Anyone know of a website I can go to for more info.

I've never been to New York City, but I've read a little about the subway system because I like trains. From what I've read, the current system is horrendously inadequate but the only talk of upgrading is the 2nd Ave line. I welcome any comments about the size, capacity, utilization, and so on about the subway system.

I saw an history channel "Raise the Alabama." They were all fixated on the cannon, etc., but not one word about the steam engine. I checked answers.com, wiki, naval history, etc. All they have in the specification section is "Steam Engine." Does anyone have a link or know what the ship's power plant specs were? Who was the manufacturer? What pressures did it run? Was it compound? How many cylinders? Throttled or automatic cutoff? Did it use a condenser?

What does a Lexus RX has which any other similar car from Toyota such as the Matrix does not have? I know that the RX is miles ahead in luxury but when we compare the features - does one really feel the difference in the RX?

I mean does the speed of a bike determined by it's engine capacity?
For e.g., will a Pulsar have more speed than a 100 c.c. Bike?
What are the other things that depends on a bikes engine capacity?
Please will someone clarify?
Thanks

I store my Mustang in the winter and the battery recently failed a load test. I typically start the car every other week in the winter. My question is should I change out the battery now, or wait until spring when I am going to be driving it again? If I don't change it now, I will most likely have to jump it each time I go to start the car.

I was being nice because I had a former friend who was down and out. I had an 02 Altima I was getting rid of and decided to sell it to a friend for $10,000, with the arrangement that he should pay me as much as he could afford until the car has been paid off. Seeing that he was such a good friend, and had been very trust-worthy, I gave him both sets of keys to the car. Well it's been over a year now and I've only recieved $60, how should I go about repossesing this car. (The Car title is still in my name)

With my old car i had to have the handbrake cable adjusted twice in 2 years. I bought a new car in June this year and already my car is starting to roll when i put the handbrake on which obviously means i need the cable adjusting again! Is this something that just happens or do i pull the handbrake up too much when parked? How much should this cost roughly?

Thanks

I mean, what if some totally unexpected hypercool supercar comes out in 2007... the disaster would be HUGE! HUGE, I TELL YOU!
But seriously, seems a bit weird to choose the car of the year 2007 in 2006. So why?
