J.C. Whitney sells knockoff mirrors from Brazil. They are economical and look about the same. JCW also allows customers to rate the products in a feedback area and, unfortunately, the comments associated with these mirrors are not all that great. They work, but there are installation problems with them.

Whitney is a good resource, but be prepared that sometimes their suff is mislabeled .. but they pick up the shipping tab to return it.

Airhead Parts also has VW parts. In fact they have a catalog with one of the most esoteric lists I have seen in a long time (even the insert plugs for the dashboard knobs !). I don't know if they sell the Brazil mirrors or if they have full replacments, but the catalog alone is worth having as a resource. Their catalog lists the OEM brand as $100 or so and the other one as $50 (each). There is currently a 10% discount for the holidays I think.

Good luck and merry Christmas

I would look on www.thesamba.com. It is well known in the Volkswagen community as a good source of parts and information.

I'd look at J.C. Whitney. com, they sell lots of Beetle parts and have decent prices.
