we were recruited by the well known ADECCO RECRUITING COMPANY recruiting on behalf of MOYPARK FOODS LMTD, N. IRELAND.and we are both to start tomorrow. My question and problem is, that my partner received an abrubt text 5 HRS after being told to be at the job for 7.30 am tomorrow, telling her that she had no work , (actuall words on the text were ; NO WORK TOMORROW . ADECCO). I have sat on 3 previous inductions for this company at 5 hrs at a time and was promised dayshift work each time only to be told at the end that there was no work available. Now the same thing seems to be happening to my partner. Another factor is , is that we are from a predominatly white denomination which is being bombarded by migrant workers, the inductions classes for MOYPARK FOODS BY ADECCO are 99% migrant workers that most cannot speak 1 word of english.I constantly hear about job descrimination against these migrant workers in N.IRELAND but i feel that my partner and myself and the original local

I have 3 years experience in general office, office assistant, medical records, file clerk, but I am having issues with social phobia. I have been called for several positions, but it requires heavy phones, and customer service, or front desk, so I turn them down. I would like to find a job where I wont really deal to much with customers, or phones because I stutter and get too nervous. I dont however want to get any work at home jobs. What positions should I apply for?? and should I be straight out with an employment agency about my problem with dealing with people?? Help!

I want to be a neurosurgeon. What does it take to be one. What schools do I need to go to? how many years of training? What degrees do I need? Do I need to go to college too because I was thinking of skipping college and going directly to a university in Germany.

About three years ago I worked for a company that later on faced a class action suit due to discriminatory hiring/scheduling practices. I went ahead and joined this lawsuit and was later awarded some money. My new potential employer wants to call this company for a reference check. Do you know if the fact that I participated in this lawsuit will show up in my file and count against me? Is there a law that prohibits such information from being disclosed? I'm a tad freaked out right now and any help would be appreciated :)

This summer I've decided to really buckle down. I need to start saving for college and my folks are making me pay for driver's ed. The problem is I can't find a job that hires 14-year-olds and takes them seriously. Does anyone have any ideas?
I'd really appreciate it. :-)

I had an interview with Macy's and i think i did pretty well, i talked about my previous job and she said it relate with the position i was applying to well. But at the end she said there were no positions available and she would call me back in two weeks. I think she said this because she dosen't want me, what do you think by experience?

I was terminated by an employer in the state of Florida because I had been injured in a car accident and after 5 weeks had not been released to full duty. I was employed with this company for 10 months, and was treated very badly during this time including a very sexist transfer. I would like to know if this is legal.

I am now being starved out of my job. Boss says since he hired more people, that he doesn't have any work for me. Yet, when I apply for other jobs, he gives me a bad reference. I can't take it anymore. He is usually drunk, runs down the regional supervisor, and I just can't take it anymore. By the way, since it is low pay, I can't get an attorney to help me with this situation. Please somebody advise me of my rights, or where I can turn to.

I am being treated like crap at work by my team members....one of the girls I work with thinks I did something that I did not do...she is ignoring me, treating me horribly and now she has others on our team doing it. It is affecting the way things are being done. I have tried to speak to her, nothing, I have tried ignoring it and burying myself in my work, and nothing is working...I end up feeling like crap and am near tears by the end of the day. Should I go to my lead or my supervisor to try to remedy this or do I continue down the path we are on? I really pray every night that tomorrow doesnt come so I dont have to go to work...and I can not afford to quit...it is the best paying job I have ever had and I have to care for my kids.

I've recently started a new job & there's this 1 woman who is just a down right smart a$$. Every1 warned me of her when I started working. She has smarted every1 of them off at 1 time & they say nuffin back 2 her. Well just the other day, she smarted me off & called me a ***** for no reason what so ever! I went up 2 her & ask what she said 2 me & she "pretended" not 2 hear me. I ask her 3 more times & she still ignored. I got up right behind her & said "What did u just call me?". She turned around & I wuz in her face & her eyes got really big. She said she didnt say nuffin. I said "B.S.!.We just heard u. & so she didnt speak 2 me the rest of the day at all." I generally get along with anyone, but Im not gonna stand by & take **** from people like her.
Now I'm wondering wat can I do about her, without the possibilty of losing my job, cause if I knock her the f*k out, Im gonna get fired. Point blank. No one likes her becuz of her attitude, even the boss.
What would you do about her?

I currently work in the accounting dept. of my company. I transferred to this dept from a less glamorous postion about 2 years ago. Once I transferred I soon realized that I would have rather stayed in the less glorified postion than go to the accounting dept. I do have an associates degree in accounting and that is what I want to do with my life but the actual work that I do is not what I would consider accounting. Not to mention I cannot stand the lady I share an office with. She has been with the company for almost 40 years and of course thinks she knows everything and makes me feel very small and stupid. Well it has recently come to my attention that my old unglorified postion is opening back up. My dillemma is do I apply for it and jeapordize any chance in the future of ever returning to the account dept or do I stay where I'm at? Should I talk to my supervisor first? What steps should I take before I make my ultimate decision?

I graduated from college last May and a month later I began working in sales at a resort. Five months later I was offered a different position with one of our clients, which seemed wonderful at the time, so I took it. I have been working here for only 5 months, I don't feel as if there is much potential to move up and although the pay is better, I rarely feel challenged or content. I feel like I should stay here for at least a year before switching jobs again!
