How long should a recent college grad remain at a job if they're not happy with it?

I graduated from college last May and a month later I began working in sales at a resort. Five months later I was offered a different position with one of our clients, which seemed wonderful at the time, so I took it. I have been working here for only 5 months, I don't feel as if there is much potential to move up and although the pay is better, I rarely feel challenged or content. I feel like I should stay here for at least a year before switching jobs again!

Go for the year. It is not unusual for a new college grad to try several jobs before he settles into what he likes to do. But don't be a job hopper.
Use the time to work on your resume. do some research and figure out what you do like and what would you want to do.
And, subscribe to a magazine like Business Week, which might give you some ideas as to what 's hot and what's not.

just make sure you have a job to go to before quitting this one. as long as each job change is a step up, it should not hurt your chances for getting hired,
