I assume a major multi-national Company (if you have been paid for 3 years off work), so your chances are extremely good they will have Medical Disability Insurance for their workforce and you can retire on anything up to 2/3rds pay.

Talk to HR.

Hard to make out what you are asking.

In the US, in a private pension plan, five years of service is generally enough for vesting, ie eligibility for a normal retiement benefit, but not enough for an early retirement benefit.

In a union pension plan, 6 years isn't even enough for vesting, although different plans have different rules and I am referring to the most common situation.. Note, however, that the service counted is all service in a union job covered by the plan no matter what the employer. If they denied you a benefit while you were working for someone else, it is likely that the pension plan you are referring to is a union plan which generally don't allow you to take a benefit while working in a non-union shop.

Getting medical coverage is one of the biggest bonuses you should seek for early retirement.
