I have a law degree and am admitted to practice, but due to personal issues I am unable to work the hours necessary to practice law right now. so I am applying for a job with the court system. The position does not require a law degree. Should I revise my resume so that my degree and licensure aren't that prominent. And how do I explain this at the interview?

I have always been interested in social work, even though I have had great reservations about the career (because it is difficult to make a good salary, doesn't get much respect and case loads are too high, etc.). However, my mother really encouraged me to do it and I'm now halfway through an MSW (Master's) program.

However, the more I think about it, the more I'm realizing that I will *not* be happy with the salary I will be making. I know that you don't go into this profession "for the money," but while I don't want to be rich I want to be adequately compensated for my education and skills and I don't believe I will be.

What do I do now?? If I drop out, I will save loads of money (loans) but won't have anything to show for it. If I stay, I will have a Master's degree, but what can I do with an MSW if I don't want to be a social worker? I'm lost and don't know what to do. I have also considered doing occupational therapy, but that would require another Master's...Help!

What can I do to avoid being frustrated at work. Without getting into too many details, I work in a big company (approx 1,000 people), and there are a few co workers who perform the same job I do, but in different areas of our company. How can I stop being frustrated when they don't do their job? I take pride in what I do, I actually show up to work on time, take my alloted time for lunch, and don't leave early. A few of these other co-workers of mine just don't seem to care and it's aggravating. There are projects that our company has to perform, but there doesn't seem to be any pride or urgency in things we have to do. I think it makes our company look bad when we turn things in late, have this "I don't care" attitude everytime we get tasked. We all make good money, and I'm very, very grateful I have this job, but these other people are frustrating with their lack of seriousness about the job.

What can I do to reduce my frustration with these co-workers?

I'm curious because I've had the same job title for 7 years, and my soul is dying because I need a change. Is it time to find something new? I want to quit and take a few months off just to unwind and find a new passion. I have six months emergency expenses, 29 years old, no kids, no rent. ONLY problem I have is no college degree / nothing to fall back on.

What would you do? Any advice would be appreciated.

Okay I think my boss is making everyone in the office a 10-99 so she doesn't have to do actual employment things can you tell me if this is a 10-99 employee or a regular employee:
-Must be in at 9:30am and work until 4:30pm (Monday thru Friday)
-Was trained specifically how to do the job
-Recieves a bi-weekly paycheck
-Get repremanded via verbal warnings and write ups

Okay that's just the jist of it but I think that seems more like a regular employee to me....does anyone have any info on this?

I got arrested at 16 for unlawful use of a computer system. I was fingerprinted but didn't receive any penalty. Just some counseling and 24 hours of community service. Will this appear on my record today?

I get hammered some nights before I have to go into work. A few times I have fallen asleep in my cubicle with my feet on my desk. My boss escorted me out of the office for sleeping on the job. I'm going to sue him for discrimination and say I have narcolepsy. How would I go about this? Would I win?

Ok I have worked for my boss for several years and am very close to her. I consider her family and get the good and bad sides of that. But the problem is its almost like I feel like I owe her something. I mean she has done a lot for me and I love her for it. But I have also done a lot for her. In the past year I have called into work sick one day. I always ask for time off over a month in advance (she requires two weeks). I get to work early, leave late, do my job plus some. Yes she has been good to me. But I have been to her too. So why do I feel like I owe her something? And how do I stop. It is cutting into my personal life-and extra work that I do that I make A LOT more money at. I have a loyalty to her that I can not give up even for that extra money. Last week I went into work early and gave up a $100 job for the other work that I do. What is up with this? And like I said how do I stop? Yes its a guaranteed check but it would still be there if I stopped doing the extras

I am into pshycology, therapy, restaurant business, international (france and spain) and etc. Maybe that will narrow it down a tad?

It can be something completely different. Give multiple responses! PLEASE i have to decide pretty soon.
