I work in CO which is a "right to work" state. When I took this job the non compete agreement was given to me 2 months after I started. Also, it was not notarized or anything? Any help? Thanks.

I can either choose to make minimum wage ($7.20) and be on the books or make $6 off the books. Which one is a better choice? Is it illegal to be paid off the books?

I am female and work in an office with 3 other females. We get paid on production, and I produce more than 1 co-worker who works full time, even though I only work part time. I know she is mad because I produce more. She likes to make snide comments behind my back to the other women. I can't go to my supervisor because she is buddy buddy with her. I was offered a new job where I get paid same but without the competition. Any suggestions?

Really, what all does this involve? I assume they don't all want someone who is a great public speaker because most jobs don't involve that unless you are some type of manager.

A customer has been calling me at work, and if the person they are looking for is not available, he hangs up on me. Did this 3 times already. My boyfriend, who is also a co-worker, called him back from work and hung up on him.

Now, where I work, people seem to get away with everything. But, for some reason, I am thinking my boyfriend is going to get fired for this stunt. The customer called back and asked why I did that, but it honestly wasn't me. I told him maybe someone else tried to reach him, but he didn't want to deal with it. Said he'd deal with it later. So I am afraid he's going to bring this all up with the boss and get my boyfriend fired.

Do you think these are means for being fired? Or maybe just a written warning???

My former boss I believe is giving me a bad rep in the community using her senority and popularity. The only real reason she is mad is because I left, but I overall think I was a wonderful employee. Who do I get ahold of in order to report my former employer so that she can't keep stopping me from getting a future job by using her personal opinion of me in the community?

i recently interviewed for a job as a ballroom dance instructor, and some of the questions that were asked seemed very strange to me. could anyone let me know if these were appropriate?
1) where do you live? house or apartment? 2) do you have roommates or live alone? 3) how long have you known each other? (the roommate) 4) how long have you lived together? 5) is your roommate a boy or a girl?
this whole section of the interview seemed very strange to me, and she was writing down all my answers right in front of me. then she also asked what year i graduated from high school. does that really matter? i indicated on there that I do have a high school diploma. can anyone help?

candidiate so far. i said that i was happy with the interview, am interested in the job and it's up to you to make me an offer
i said that because i was trying to take the pressure of myself and make them want to make me an offer.

i don't need to ask straight out for a job, if i want it i can get it.

by saying what i said, was i imply that i wanted the job badly.

it's the employer lose if they decide not to employ me, not mine.
