I might be getting a job as one soon and I want to know what it's like to be one.

I currently work in an office job part time. I am a college student so I only work between 15 and 20 hours a week. The problem is that I hate working there (I am really not the type of person who enjoys working in an office doing the same thing every day). I used to work in a sub shop (which I liked) as cashier/food prep/clean up/etc. but I really didn't like dealing with all the messy food. I did enjoy cashiering, etc. so I recently applied to several places (about five or so) and I got an offer from Bath & Body Works, but now I am unsure as to whether I should take it or not. I don't think I would necessarily like working in the mall, but it is something different. Also, the pay is significantly less, though this is not a huge deal (currently 8.50/hr vs. 6.25/hr @ B&BW) anyway, if anyone could offer some insight as to what it is like working at bath and body works or whether I should try for something better or not, your answers would be appreciated.

so his girlfriend and her children can move in. I am unemployed, and broke. i've been out of work for 7 months. I have been looking very hard for a job, but still haven't found anything. Are there any charities that can help?

Any other suggestions? I AM willing to work, but I need something that will provide enough money for food and shelter.
(My background is production support specialist, but there are no manufacturing jobs where I live. (They all moved to China! Commie F%$$#@@$!!!!))

What about religions? Do they do anything but sing childish hymns all the time?

I was born into a Mormon family, and baptized at the age of eight, but I haven't been to church in over 20 years, ever since I instigated the infamous, West Jordan 4th Ward, holy bread and water, food fight, with my sunday school friends. So I suppose the chance of them helping is between zero and none, right?

I will be compensated if I am a part time employee, and also do you think it will be necessary to get a lawyer in this matter? The people have really given me a hard time not sure what to do. I have documented everything from day one just in case.

I call in today at Wal-mart (I work there part-time just through college) I have been working for well over a month. Today is obv. Good Friday and there is no way I can get a doctors note. My doctors office is closed until Monday. I have not called-in before and I am sick. I am showing sign of an upper respiratory infection and I have a 101 F fever. When I called to tell the store I wasn't going to be there somebody...I don't know who he was got a big attitude with me and told me I better bring a doctors note. The information that I am looking at right now says nothing about a doctors note and that I can't be disciplined until I have 4 absences. I took all the right steps to call in. I call the 1800 # and notified the store. Then they'll just talk to me about what is going on...What should I do if they try to start something with me tomorrow when I come back to work?.

My bf thinks I'm crazy for wanting to become a licensed cosmetologist after having earned a Bachelor's degree from a "big deal" university. Blah! I have a job, and I'm self-sufficient but I'd like to do make-up as a second career or "side hustle" as one magazine calls it. What's wrong with a "brainiac" having a fun side job? Oh, and he wants to be a comedic actor! Is he being selfish or should I really stick to a "real" career?

Another problem is that, he is my friend when we were in college... Im sure personal things will get involved..Should i fire him, what should i say or do to fire him which he would hurt that much?Im afraid that he would get mad at me. Please help!

I have noticed that freelance sites like guru.com, elance.com, and sologig are becoming more popular. Have you used them before, or would you? I am really wondering if it is worth the 100+ a year to offer my services on.

Need an agency that will place a young but seasoned worker. They always seem to pick the one skill I don't have such as access or quickbooks and say that's why we can't send you out (Exec. Secretarial/Administrative Asst.)

I am graduating in less than a month with a Bachelor's degree with major in mathematics. I am attending a job fair at my university next week. I feel I have a decent resume that lacks an objective. The reason I haven't written one is because I am open to find out about many careers and do not have an exact desired goal other then empoyment of some sort with my resume and degree.
