Everybody I have hired in the past 2 years has been through email application, web site response (our company website), or ad response to monster, careerbuilder.

Absolutely!

I was hired by a company in 1999 by sending my resume on Monster.com or whatever to a recruiter and was called back.

In 2001 (after being laid off), I got my current job by sending a resume to their online posting.

I have been interviewed lately by another company (didn't get the job), by posting directly to their website.

Yes...I submitted my resume online and was called for a phone interview...shortly after the phone interview I was offered the position. It's a matter of having a good resume so that someone will call you for an interview. If you interview well, you should not have anything to worry about.

I've known several people who have gotten jobs after posting their resumes on monster.com. Also, if you're familiar with it, craigslist is great. Both my husband and I got our jobs on there.
