If the Democrats are in power Vulcan-American and if the Republicans are in power Klingon-American.

With either major and the right party in power you can act as a press liason between the governing party and the American people.

Given that the US never has contact with either Vulcans or Klingons and never will (what, you think USS means United States Ship?) they probably aren't going to lead to any jobs.
