I work in an office with 4 other women. I am the only part time worker. We work in a doctor's office on production, and I do better than most of the full time girls. There is one woman, when she was hired, she would take my doctor's work when I was gone in the afternoons. She would let her own work get way behind because she was too busy taking mine. I had plenty of other work to do, and was the low person on the totem pole because I was "only part time". Now she is behind on everything because she bit off more than she can chew. My question is, why do women come into a job and try to take over and alienate the other women? She brown nosed the supervisor so she could get away with it.

In regards to a professional I have been consulting in my business-I am not happy with the results this individual has provided and wish to sever my ties with this individual. However, the business I am in is very small and interlinked and I fear retribution from this person-in a "slur" type way. I am non-confrontational and have a VERY hard time when dealing with a potentially "loose cannon" as this-any advice?

I am 27 years old and have stayed at my current job for nearly five years. Is it too late to change my career path now? I am not an adventurous type of person.

Have you changed your job at my age or even old and found it worth the change

I am 13 years old, and I would really like a job where I can make a lot of money, but there is a lawn service in my neighborhood, so I cannot mow lawns, and there are few children here, and the few that are go to a neighborhood babysitter. The few dogs around here are walked by their owners.
I don't really have very many artistic talents, so I cannot make jewelry or anything. I was thinking lemonade stand, but that won't really bring in too much money.
So I don't have very many options, yet I would like to make a little bit of money. Could you offer any suggestions?

I have been working at my job for 2-1/2 years. I really love what I do and I like the people I work with. (I work part time - mornings 8 -12:30pm). I consider myself a happy consistent person - and think that I am friendly, personable and treat everyone the same way. I am a good listener and will ask people how their day is going, about their families, weekends, vacations,etc.. It is rarely reciprocated. I am discouraged because I feel like I am merely tolerated ...Does anyone know this feeling? How do you hande it? Thanks!

When running a background check on a potential employee, where would an incident of 'driving while impaired' show up? On a criminal record? Driving record? Or both? Also, how much does it impact your decision on whether or not to hire someone with this type of conviction? (assuming it is the only spot on their record, and the job does not involve any driving)

I have worked for a corporation as a technician for about 9 months. Recently, the corporation(charter communications) did a career fair for inhouse sales. I trained for 2 1/2 months for my technician position. I managed to score good in my year end review. We are judged mainly on repeat calls; a call that you go to and to customer scheduled another appointment within 1 week. The company standard is 10% repeat call. I was around 5%. I also never have done any cable technical job before. In the first quarter of this year, I produced the second most jobs completed, and the third lowest repeat calls from around 40 technicians. I arrived at the career fair, and was immediately turned down for not having any sales experience. I managed to get the lady to rethink and she called in for her supervisor. The supervisor told me to come in another time, and talked her into allowing me to interview.I did really good in the interview and could tell I was liked. I am highly motivated.no job

At the company i work at, we have been asking customers for their zip codes. Most people comply, but a precious few have declined. Now, we were told that in a few weeks, we will have to ask customers for their phone #. Another employee and i expressed some concerns about having to ask at all because it just seems too intrusive. I figure this would be a good question, as people shop everyday, and this practice isn't all that uncommon. I'm sooo looking forward to some answers here! Thanks in advance people!

I'm just wondering if anyone here has tried this, or if you know someone who has.

It seems very brilliant. I Would never have thought of such a thing before hand, but it gives me some hope. :)

There is also a 30 day money back guarantee and all, so it seems promising. I just want to know if anyone has actually tried it first though.

This is it:

I just got fired from my job after 11 years of service. Company is struggling and I was part of trimming the fat. I am sooooooo happy to begin a new experience. Can I send my ex-boss a thank you note or e-card. I feel I really should thank him, or is it in bad taste to do so???????? Crazy as it seems, I outgrew the company, wasn't happy with the new "policies and strategy and direction" they were going in and I felt that loyalties shifted to a very manipulative cut throat crew from an original "family" owned company. I'm fine and already have 3 job offers and will succeed even more because of this. Up until 5 months ago my boss was kinda like a big brother, but his dependencies and mis-management really tore us apart. Call me crazy, but I really want to thank him. Can I? Should I? Is it in bad taste to do so (repeating myself--sorry) - Please let me know your thoughts.

I am wondering if there are any avon or tupperware type sales job that are not as women oriented out there? I'd consider it but I don't think women would buy makeup or bowls from me. I'm not looking for something that cost a lot of money to start either.

I used to see in the job application website and noted that in the oil/gas industries, at most time they are looking for different level of production operators. It stated as A Operator, B operator or C operator. I don't know what exactly it means being an oil/gas production operator like me. I would be much appreciated if any one can detail out what it means?
Thanks.
