Now, suppose you call in and use familty issues as an excuse. Now,2 weeks later the boss asks, "why were you out on the 5th??
You'll remember your honest answer.
You don't have to think twice. If you hesitate, he'll see it and it'll hurt your credibility.

Say that you're sick....if you use family issues or family emergency it's bad karma. At least I think so.... just say you've been throwing up...that works all the time.
