Considering the price of professional memberships these days, 55 dollars is nothing. One of my professional memberships is 250 dollars per year, not including the price of continuing education credits etc. By joining this society , it may create scholarship and employment oppurtunities that you might have never known existed. For 55 bucks I say go for it..

I joined DMD after finishing my MBA a few years ago. I haven't received any great benefits from membership, but it is something that you can list on your resume and it does help if you are seeking employment with the federal government.

Not to me What will this membership do to further your professional standing? That's really what you have to decide for yourself. .
