im trying to make a resume and cover letter. i cant think of any skills to put in. when i was in high school i remember there being a list of skills and words to describe yourself when making a resume. does anyone know where i can find one online without possibly having to pay for it. i would very much appreciate it.

You have to list your own skills! a list of anything from anyone else won't match your personal skillset.

your list of skills should start very specific, and can get more general:

- Keyboarding/typing (list speed)
- Proficient at various computer applications including: ...(list)
- Relevant degree or training, (i.e. CPR trained, AD/400 certified) - List foreign languages you can speak, read and write
- Computer skills include website design and implementation (list programs used or show website url as example)
- Excellent team player
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Work well under pressure

don't list:
hobbies, irrelevant skills like dancing or bowling, certifications or licenses that you don't have, or anything too personal.

Good luck!

Think of what you can do well, what you enjoy to do, and list those qualities. I am sure it won't be too hard once you get started.
