I am female and work in an office with 3 other females. We get paid on production, and I produce more than 1 co-worker who works full time, even though I only work part time. I know she is mad because I produce more. She likes to make snide comments behind my back to the other women. I can't go to my supervisor because she is buddy buddy with her. I was offered a new job where I get paid same but without the competition. Any suggestions?

If you really love that job (excuse my french) but f*** the other girls. They just hating on you (which is a good thing because you know you are doing something right). You have to deal with females like that everywhere you go. I love when females do that because that gives me the drive to continue to do good at my job. If you feel that you need to take the other job then do it, but do it only for yourself and not for the hating a** females! Good luck with the decision. I hope you make the right one!

What kind of vibes are you getting from the supervisor? Even if she is a buddy of the big mouth, she surely knows you produce the work, since you're getting paid more. I'd just ignore her, but if it is truly intolerable, consider the new job and other issues beyond just pay. All jobs have their down sides, you just don't know what the new job's is yet :)

I would go with whichever job you think you would like the best. Definitely take the issues into consideration, though. If she is buddy buddy with the supervisor and she is jealous of you, that could cause a lot more problems and end up getting you fired even though you did nothing wrong.

Take the other job. lol, I know how you feel. Where I work there is someone just like her. I work in a law firm tho, so it is somewhat different. I am just starting my career and she has been around for a while. She doesnt want to offer her help and mocks me when i make a mistake. If I was offered to go somewhere else, I would!

Take the job that doesn't have all the hassle of people talking behind your back. You don't need that at all. I have that here but it's only one girl and I've been here 7 years I just tolerate it as it's not often and I like everyone else. Not only that but she is like this with everyone it depends on the day.

So, why are you hanging around? You didn't list any down side to this new job offer. So why would you stay in a crappy situation if you are not going to lose anything by moving over?
