How can we get the right people?
Place yourself in the role of the Human Resource Manager of a large retail store. You believe that the most important people to further your work are your first line managers, the individual supervisors of each department.

You want to impress on them the important issues of making the right impression on new staff, from the time they come in for their first job interview until they have bee judged ready for a permanent contract 6 months into their employment
Explain to the group of 12 first-line managers how you see this programme unfolding and the specific points that they should consider as regards their role in each step of your programme

I just want to know what the meaning of the question is? what m I suppose to write? thanks in advance for any help!!!

Now don't laugh.

I seriously want to have a go at bricklaying. But I am disabled. I hasten to add I am not in a wheelchair!
Anyhow I have a bad leg where I have to wear a splint.
I may and emphasise may be able to get funding to go on this course which may lead to a job in bricklaying.

Does anyone reading this know or better still is classed as disabled is a bricklayer? If so how do you fair?

Its an odd question but I need to see what people think who are in my situation

Hi, I really hate my job, I've work in the same restaurant for the last 4 years. I worked with so many different cooks, that have come and go and I'm still there. I hated it the first day i was there thought it was boring, but everybody says it will get better here is the problem the people i work with the rudest and crudest people ever. i work six days a week and still cant get 40 hrs. i have been there 4 years and one thing that irritates me the most is, a new supervisor is hired, he makes $5 more and hour than i do, i have been there 4 years he has been then 1 day, and making more than me, and what does actually do, nothing, i work opens and closing shifts, doubles and split shifts, do inventory, what does he do, night studpidvisor. he is always telling me that i have no experience and i am wet behind the ears yet. yeah right loser, its a screwy situation. i have thought about quitting every year, i dont know what direction to go in, what should i do.

My company screwed up the 401k when they set it up, so they had different vesting schedules for different people. I was supposed to be 100% vested, but when I left the company and rolled over my 401k the rollover was $800 short due to the forfeiture of the non-vested amount. I alerted my old company and they promised to cut me a check for the rest plus 25% for taxes. Today I was told they are cutting me a check for $600 plus 25%. I was told that I was only entitled to the employer contributions, not the earnings from those contributions. I think that sounds absurd. What's the point of investing the money if I don't keep the earnings? Isn't that what 100% vesting means?

I think he's reading it in preview in Outlook, but I’m not getting confirmation until weeks later. It’s very frustrating because I often ask him to provide me with data the next day, but I do not see that he reads my messages. Any advise? I have already spoken to him about opening emails once before. Should I start documenting this for disciplinary action? Or am I being petty.

why do people try so hard to take the easy way out of working for a living trying to make money with those silly scams about online surveys and stuff. There is no real guranteed money in that, not like there is when you work for a living and the great feeling of accomplishment you get when you get your pay check. My grandmother said when she was younger and McDonald's first opened everyone seen that as an oppritunity, now everyone sees working as a basic waste of time. What is society setting our children up for when they grow up?
