Explain to the group of 12 first-line managers how you see this programme unfolding and the specific points that they should consider as regards their role in each step of your programme

I just want to know what the meaning of the question is? what m I suppose to write? thanks in advance for any help!!!

It's about Staff Motivation.

How would you encourage / direct / instruct your 'first line' Managers to Motivate their (own) staff ?

What should they consider ? what should they do ? how should they measure their success ?

Hi there.
The english is a bit strangulated on this question, but I think the basic requirement is:-
1. Design a program to deal with new employees from first interview to permanent job. Each employee will have to complete a 6-month probation period.
You should allow for:-
First interview
second interview
initial offer
induction into work
targets set for the employee
ongoing reviews and feedbacks during probation
final review at end of probation
permanent job offer (including new targets and review periods).
2. having set up the plan, you then have to assign tasks, responsibilities and targets to the 12 managers who will be implementing most of it.
Allow for:-
selling the company ethos
responsibility to the employee
creating job description
interviewing technique
providing accurate info to the applicants
full process for taking people on (payroll, health and safety, personnel details, holidays, sickness, the probation periods details)
training
assign clear lines of communication from employee to line manager
setting targets with specific measurable objectives
ongoing reviews and feedback during probation
final assessment.

So you need to design a program to take people on and explain to the managers what they will be doing at each point of it. What you are attempting to get across to the examiner is that you understand the complexities of taking employees on and managing them. Overall, they need to be professional and get everything in place before the employee arrives, so know what you are looking for and make all your preparations in plenty of time.

Good luck!
Steve.

implement a program that will be presented to the first-line managers about the correct way of behaving as managers so the people under them will know the standard of behaviour that is acceptable whilst they are employed there. As for the steps you may want to include stuff like: an intro, differences between appropriate and inappropriate behaviour - at work and in public with uniform on??? What happens if behaviour is unacceptable - 3 strikes and you are out???

I believe you are suppose to come up with a plan ,a sort of format keeping the basic rules and issues of the company in mind that focus on getting the message across to potential employees concerning critical issues or information .This plan is to be implemented by the line managers who are a crucial element or focal point when it comes to implementiation. Your plan will be used as a guideline and implemented at different stages in the program by line mangers .

It seems that you are being asked about how you would brief your team managers on their responsibilities during the recruitment drive. I assume they are looking for you to advise them on the importance of the selection process and what they should be expected to look for in the candidates prior, during and post the recruitment phase. This would include such areas as staff development through coaching, training and regular assessment /feedback.
Good luck :)

If you are not sure about the question, I suggest you go back to your tutor and get them to talk it through with you. Then they'll know what kind of a reaction their question has got with the students for a start! And they can also explain exactly what kind of answer they are looking for from you.
