Yes, of course you can.

In fact, this is quite normal in some jobs - such as Directors, (Sales) Manager, Engineer (especially R&D, Developement, Project, Software) - in fact anywhere you might have access to confidential information that could be used by a competitor - hand in your Notice, say you are going to work for a direct competitor and they often ask you to clear your desk and leave immediatly.

Your earnings from both jobs will be added together when your Tax is calculated (of course).

Check your contract first of all to make sure there isn't anything specific about this.

I had the same worries. I started my new job overlapping holiday (albeit it was only a couple of days) but to be on the safe side I just didn't tell my old employer.

At the end of the day you have accumulated that holiday so you should be able to use it in any way you want to.

Yes I think you will be ok as you have or been given notice so there is not any reason to not get another job.~~

I don't think so. If you didn't leave the company in good terms, you could have problems...
