If anyone, but the mailman puts anything in the letterboxes or mailboxes in the USA, you are breaking FEDERAL LAW!

All groups are told to leave their materials anywhere, but the mailboxes, or the will get into trouble. You may leave it in the door, etc., but never the mailbox.

In India, certain Retailers engage News paper Vendors and pay them some thing like Rs. 200/= per 1000 copies of Flyer's, Brochures, or Leaflets to pushed into News papers they distribute daily, on Week ends.

To my knowledge, such JOBS are not so well paid.

@@@@@ ##### $$$$$$

We paying Rs. 2/= per courier for a social organisation for
delivering around 100 couriers in a day in a radius of about 10 Kms, with in 48 hrs, to a local Courier Company. You can well imagine !!!

I only have general info... I did it with my mum for exercise (hers not mine as I was a kid) and I know she didnt get paid much then. I also rang up about the position myself when I was a uni student and was told you couldnt live off it. This was about 6 years ago though, I think they said a few cents a pamphlet. Thats if you are the walker, if you are the person in charge of the distribution it would be a different story Im sure...but from your question I'm gathering your talking about the walking part.

My mum was happy as she did it for foremost for exercise but an income it was not. Both times it was in QLD. Dont know how much that helped.

It's usually set at the minimum wage which is

aged 22 or over - £5.35 an hour
18-21 year olds - £4.45 an hour
16-17 year old - £3.30 an hour

They like younger people to do it because the minimum wage is lower.

Within the US it is actually a Federal Crime to put anything without a stamp on it into a Mail Box. Keep this in mind as whoever you are working for might not care and leave you in trouble.

Just please make sure you do not place ANYTHING in a mailbox as the Postal Service will collect them and charge you .29 cents for each one you delivered. All they have to do is collect one and estimate how many you delivered and they have an open/shut case as it is a Federal offense to go into any mailbox. (especially with no postage)
