How about working at a museum? Your history degree might be useful there. If you like children, part-time work at a day care center might be an option. Preschools are always looking for teachers and aides and the hours can often be flexible.

One of my daughters did her Masters (at Manchester) as a part-timer. She worked at Ladbrokes, the Bookmakers, as a part-time cashier. And her degree was in Theology, not Maths or Science.
They were good employers and she enjoyed the work.
When she came home during vacations she could apply instantly to the local Ladbrokes and always worked, not every day, but most of the time.

My Grandson graduated in Economics and went on to do hos Masters. He managed to get part time work teaching in his sixth form college (classroom assistant) This led to him being taken on a twelve month Post grad course and he is now a full time teacher. You could have a word with the head at your old college. Hope this helps.

Why don't you see if Oddbins are looking for staff (they usually were when I worked there). Not only do you get a physical job to keep you on your toes, you get to taste many different wines (they might still do staff discount), and if you stay long enough they should send you on courses to gain certificates (or proof that you are indeed a professional drinker)
