with regards to the question i asked earlier this colleague i worked with was a wholesale merchandiser. She was good at her job, she set up meetings with clients, managed a critical path, liaised with the design team, did overtime at a moments notice, she was friendly, got on with her well with colleagues at work, it was a shame the company couldn't afford to keep her on. She was made redundant four months ago and still i hear work colleagues talk about her.
I've been asked to give a reference on her and that was one of the questions and i hate that question because i never know how to answer it.

I am Certified and have kept up with pharmacy work through the clinic. I've tried looking through several online agencies but to no avail. Can somebody please help me... I want to be a firefighter, but when I was younger I had some artwork done, and of course being nieve, there are some non-offensive pieces that are visible (wrists, temples). Is it an issue for a Canadian firefighter to have tattoos? I just don't want to spend the college money on it if it is an issue...

I have recently tried to get a job and one of my employers gave me a really bad reference. They went into deep details and basically was trashing me. I didn't think they were allowed to do that? Isn't that diminishing my character? Can I sue for that?

I'm a female, currently with three children, and the youngest is 5 months, then I have a 9 year and 14year old. I divorced a few years ago and now engaged to my youngest childs father. I haven't been working since the baby, and decided that I really wanted to go back to school, because the career that I've been in for 8 yrs., won't pay anymore then $30,000 a year. I started school last week, for an Ultrasound tech. that would start out paying alot more. The school last for 18months, but now I'm worried that this will be to much of a strain, finacially for me and my fiance. His job doesn't pay a whole lot, and I'm starting to think that now it's becoming to much for him, taking care of all of us, and two children that are not biologically his. I'm trying to find work part time, but I'm just nervous that this maybe to much for our relationship, and this is my last couple of days to drop the class without owing anything. I really, really want to stay in school. Any suggestions?

I tried working at a call center for a short time, and I cannot understand how anyone could do that kind of job. It's so restrictive and oddly demanding.

There is a dysfuntional person in our department. This person has a history and is in a 12 step program, and recently relasped. Though she is good at what she does her work ethic is that of a bully and she is loud and disruptive. Recently she was asked to sit down and keep her voice down by the HR Dept.

The problem is, our boss is hiring a new person for our department and is placing the new person under this co-worker. Some of us feel that we need to tell our boss that this is a disaster waiting to happen. Do we/I voice our concern or just let it go and see what happens? It depends on his mood; but he could respond with 1 of the 2: 1...I really don't care or 2. Why didn't you tell me sooner?

Any suggestions?
