I didnt know what I wanted to do until 1 year after graduating from HS. I would go ahead and do your gen eds at a community college and once you know transfer to a university to insure you dont waste money un needed on classes you dont need. Best of luck

Don't worry about it know one at you age really knows. Some may be positive of what they are going to do but will change their minds 3 or 4 times between now and the time they graduate college. Most change several times after college. For now just make sure you keep all options open by keeping your grades up and being active in the school and the community so that you get into whatever college yoou choose. Even then you don't need to pick a track the first two years. You will figure it out eventually so don't feel the need to rush.

Your local library will have books about career choices. What Color is Your Parachute? is a popular one. The librarian can help you find books that you will find helpful.

Be wary of on-line "tests" that will tell you your dream job for only x amount of $.

Most people don't have just one job or profession for their whole life anymore. They end up working in different areas. So, don't be discouraged if you're not sure if you want to do something for the rest of your life.

Once you find areas you are interested in, ask if you can volunteer or intern with someone in that profession. That will give you a clearer idea before college.

It's a little early to get stressed out about it.

When I was your age, there were only six computers in the world, and the president of IBM said private citizens wouldn't ever have any need for computers. A good number of people my age now make their living in some aspect of computer hardware or software design or sales.

My point is that it's entirely possible that the career you ultimately choose doesn't even exist yet. It's really kinda early to worry about it, give it another couple of years at least.

I am doing a job that did not exist when I was in high school don't sweat it, just keep doing general eduacation till you figure it out, maybe when you get into college you can get a MRS degree and not have to worry about it...

Relax. Check out "What color is my parachute". But wait until you are at least ready for college. You'll have plenty of time to freak out!
They have a version for teens:

Also, try to do something you love. Not every worthwhile career involves math.
