So I am a 21 yr old college student studying Communications and minoring in Business. I have worked at a Blockbuster since June 2003 until earlier this year, leaving as an Assistant Manager/Sales Manager. Now I am a waiter at Chili's.I left Blockbuster because I had to relocate, and there isn't a corporate one located here. I have approximately 66 more credit hours to earn before I can graduate.

I recently applied to a Starbucks in hope to become an Assistant and make a career out of it. After 3 weeks of interviews, HR paperwork, and waiting, I've been turned down.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do once I graduate. I am highly willing to relocate to any large city. I just don't have a clue what I could do with a Comm major (I'm majoring in it because I enjoy it).

Anyone have any ideas what I could do? My dream was to run my own coffee shop, but it looks like that door closed.

that "you just aren't working out". Does it mean you aren't doing your job right? Does it mean that they don't like you as a person or what? This was told to me after I'd been at my place of employment for less than a month.

I'd be happy as a stable hand, groomer, ANYTHING and would work for little money or in exchange for lessons or experience. Im 24 by the way and would do anything to get my foot in the door. Any advice?

I work for a company called grand discovery, it is a travel company. I am actually a telemarketer for them, working in a seperate building. they do not take taxes out of our paychecks, and gave us w-9 tax forms to fill out when i started.

a major issue also is they get massive amounts of complaints about their bussiness, such as the customer stating that they never got to go on vacation and never got what was promised without paying massive amounts of money. they ARE a part of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and also they are a memeber of the Chamber Of Commerce. Im a seceptical about working here at all now, i make great money, but i am scared i am going to get personal law suit filed against me for telling the customers something that is untrue, but is required of me to say. or even that i am going to get in trouble with the irs for them not taking my taxes out. please give me some guidance as to weather or not i should be working here.

I am trying to find an online data entry job that is legitimate and not a scam. I am presently confined to home, and I need to make an income for myself. I do not want to be burden on my family.

I have tried to find information about online surveys, etc., but many of the survey companies charge $49 before they give you access to the companies that do surveys. Meanwhile, many of the survey companies that supposedly pay the better money, only operate in the U.S. The remaining survey companies pay $1 a survey IF you match a "profile". I decided that I need to find real work.

If anyone knows of a real company that pays cash (preferably using PayPal) for a good data entry operator, or even for medical transcription online, I would really appreciate the help. I can do medical transcription quite well, but the medical transcription companies want people that work at home to have special transcription equipment. Not an option for me at the present because I am strapped for cash.

I am 32 years old, and i have never worked in my life. My husband always took care of me, and now that my little girl is little bit bigger, i find myself being bored to death while she is in school and hybby is working.
I applied to whole bunch of stores for a part time position, most of the applications i filled online, but no one ever called. My husband told me i need to actually call those places and inquire about application, proving them that i care. Could that be a reason no one called me?
I just need 4 hours a day, to kill the boredoom, and so far i haven`t been able to find anything. Worst thing of all is that little box on the application where you need to put your work history, and i need to leave entire box empty, becayse i don`t have any. On the other hand, what`s up with all the kids working at the stores? It`s not like they had working history before.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Before I came back to Taiwan, I worked as an administrative assistant in a trading company for one and half years. We focused on exploring fresh and frozen seafood to Asia and other countries as well. It is a small firm that I have chance to understand and assistant people in different departments. My main duties involved logistic (airlines, steam lines, and trucking) and administrative activities. It is our responsibility to help every shipment move smoothly. I was required to preparing documentations before or after shipment, arrange logistic process at the right time and with the right cost, notify customers related information, solve different problems, track financial issues, and etc. The biggest lessons that I learned are being on-time, resisting compression, and being flexible and functional.

I know you can purchase prescriptions pre-tax, but is there any other benefits? It seems to me that it would take more time estimating what you'll spend per year than it's worth because of the "use it or lose it" policy.

His permanent secretary gave me a mini-handover and she seemed a little bit frazzled. Just as I was going to leave her office she said, "Make sure you keep your head down while you're working here, he's a good looking man". Do you know what she might have meant by this? I have never met him before until today and no, he's not very nice looking.

I am learning at home in my spare time that I have, while working 8-10 hour shifts, days, lates, nights, then I get tired after the shifts. I only have myself with income coming in. I was considering droping my shifts, but I feel I can't cope with less money as there is too many bills throughout the year and everything is going up in prices..
